I am novice with engineering II. I have not RE anything yet, but does it give XP and if yes how much? I REed once but was not paying attention to XP and I am not in the game at the moment.

Nope. Only get xp for crafting. RE is technically not crafting due to no resources being used (other than the ones you use for the tool, but that apparently doesn't count)

when re-egineering, do you insert several parts of the same kind to get one part of the best stats in all of them?
I was reading up in the RE but I did not not come across the answer to this yet. I am still learning
Thanks for the inputs

RE Level = number of parts needed
Example: If you are RE'ing level 1 parts, you only put that one part in and you get you're 1% bonus. If you are RE'ing level 8 reactors, you need to put 8 level 8 reactors and you'll get the best stats of all of them plus your modifier bonus.
They don't have to be the same named part, but they have to be the same type of part (all weapons or all reactors, etc)
(Reminder: The part level doesn't always equal the RE'ing level. Always pay attention to the RE'ing level. It's what counts.)
