Asked this question on the Pilot forum. I just thought I would ask the Shipwrights if they have any experiences lately with REing Pre-Nerf

droid interfaces. I have heard from several people that if you RE these old pieces that they could be "adjusted" upwards speedwise. Others say there is no risk of that. Anyone here have recent experience with Re-engineering Pre-Nerf droid interfaces?

I haven't RE'd one in a while, but I remember in the first pass where they tried to correct the problem, they changed from Level 1 Cert to Level 7 cert. (But still with a Level 1 RE level.)

Can anyone confirm that? Or am I just talking out of my exhaust port?

Well over the weekend I noticed a bunch of my DI's changed on their speeds. And that the new DI's I am getting fall in line with it. I don't think it affected DI's in ships though as the one installed in my ship didn't change.

This game is now in complete violation of Raph Koster's and Rich Vogel's insights into the MMO world

I RE'd a pre-nerf level 1 about a month ago and it didn't negatively affect it. I'll have to check and see if any of my DI's have been changed though.

I RE'd thelast of my pre-nerfs last week, speed went down as it should. As of 3 days ago, the speeds on my interfaces have done any sudden changes.

I know I have a few old lvl 10 di's with 10.1 spd and around 25-40k mass. I also know that I looted a lvl 10 di last weekend with 30.1 spd, and only about 1.1k mass

You might want to check that lvl 10 again. I'll bet credits its RE level is actually 3.
