Hi the title says it all, Is it a loot item or am i missing something? Any help would be appriciated

The Y-8 isn't craftable. It is received as a reward for completing the series of mining missions starting from Kashyyyk.
Unfortunately, I believe that the final mission is bugged, so you cannot currently obtain a Y-8 other than by buying one.

It's not the final mission. I believe folks are having trouble at the stage where you have to escort the other Y-8's. The last mission is another mining sampling of diamonds.
