Ive been told that Rate of Fire is rounded when you equip the weapon into a ship.
for example .247 speed becomes .25
.252 speed becomes .25
Heres my question.
i have the ability to craft .247 speed weapons.
Is there anypoint for me to make weapons this fast ?
or should i save some points and just make .252 refire blasters ?

I'm curious what resources you're using to get speeds under .250 refire. Nice work. I get my guns in the high 90s but have never been able to break .25 (mk V and elite), .26 (mk IV), .27 (mk III)
Do you recall the pertinent stats of the resources you were using? (I'm more curious than anything, obviously no need to try this as it doesn't really improve the gun, but that's got to be some nice work.)

From using a few 1000's for the upgrade and some mid-high 900s for the weapons themselves, I'd say most likely it would be near perfect resources to get them that low.
Quick numbers:
Base refire on my crafted are .287 (roughly 27% base experimentation)
At 0.0005 per percent, it would take an extra 86% to get 0.244, thus putting you at 113% experimentation.
To be able to get 0.244 at 100%, your base stat would have to be 0.280 with 27% base experimentation. At 100%, that would equate to 0.2435 refire, rounding to a final 0.24 on your gun.
If anyone can get those kinds of numbers, please post what the stats on the resources are. I'd be very interested to see what it would take.

If you cant make it to 0.244 save the ponts... it will roundto nearest no matter what you do

Exactly what she said. Always try to make it as close to the high end of rounding as possible, to maximize point usage.
If you can't reach .244, there's no need to go below .254.

I use only crafted weapons on my YT1300because of the .250 refire. I was up in a friends Nova with some goofy .410 refire level 10 weapons... and let me tell ya... it seemed like it was ages between each shot. Especially when the shields collapsed and the plasma alarms were going off...

to get .247 im using corbantis's absolute best resources for weapons.
some 1000 oq ore
some 1000 oq steel with 800+ cd
some 970+pe and 940+ oq radioactive
and some 990+ gas

Nice resources. And running the numbers through my little tool, you would need exactly 0.280 on the initial craft, with base experimentation at 28% in order to drop it to 0.244. Any higher on either and it's an impossible craft. Even 0.281 would require 102% to hit 0.244.
To think on it, every 0.001 higher that the initial craft is on refire, you would need the base experimentation to drop 2%. ie, at 0.281, you'd need a max base experimentation of 26%.
Would need to run it through some sort of other calculator (if I ever get the time/urge to add it into mine) to see if that's even possible with materials that are 1000 all the way down.

The rounding of refire and vs. shields/armor stats only happens if you go LD in space long enough for the server to unload your ship from the server. Granted, this will usually happen to everyone at least once sooner or later, but its not garaunteed. Also, keep in mind that if a stat ends in a 5, it can round either way, i.e., .245 refire could round to either .250 or .240. The reason this can happens is that there are additional hidden digits, and the displayed number is already being rounded for display purposes, even before you go LD in space and get a permanent hard rounding. For example, a refire that lists as .245 might actually be .24499999. In such a situation, that weapon would round down to .240 if you were to go LD in space. By the same token, a refire that lists as .245 might also actually be .245000001, which would end up rounding to .250 when you go LD.

The refire rate on my guns rounds and I have never gone LD in space. It seems to happen when I have been logged out for a while. This has been consistant on all of the crafted guns I have ever used.
Load the gun into a ship. Log out for 30 minutes or so and when you log back in the refire will have rounded up or down.

Yeah. Rounding occurs when your character is logged out for a short period of time, which will happen to everyone a couple times a week. If the weapon is loaded on your ship when you logout, it will round. The *only* way around this is to unload your guns every single time you logout, or every time you land to be safe from LDs. A weapon in your inventory will never round, but if it's on your ship, it will.
