Thread: Macro Grinding?

The Macro I typically use to grind with doesn't seem to work. It uses resources, but gives no exp. It also does not activate the quality bars beside the resource (the color indicators)


Has anyone used a macro to grind SW yet?

macroing shipwright is not recomended. you will lose too many resources and there are only like 94ish total combines needed to master if you do it in practice mode maybe 110tops if you produce all the hulls on every combine.


shouldnt take more thantwo hour at worst even with only one tool

no macro needed..i Mastered in 2 and 1/2 hours..would have been faster if i wasnt doing it in my shop..i helped at least 10 customers in that time span...hehee

May I ask what you grinded? And how much XP per it gave you.

I am guessing the previous posters followed the chassis grind? Correct?

Ditto, except I used 8 tools and Macro'd...OK...so maybe not a "ditto"


But Chassis, yeah.


Once you get to Tier 2 Chassis, you can Grind 13 Tier 2, then 10 Tier 3, then 55 Tier 4 (sorry, forget how many Tier 0/1 I had to do).


5.6 Million units of resources later and Walla! master Shipwright! (don't even need App Points)...not that I madce it past 2000 yet....ran out of Steel.


Argh! Failure to horde resources ahead of time on my part...now most of the Resource Vendors who still have steel have jacked their prices. Ahh well...will just take my time...I figure that the population of Shipwrights will drop significantly in a couple/few weeks once folks realize the Huge outlay of resources required to maintain the profession (man, I thought Architect sucked up a lot of my good stuf, Oi!)

fortunately i was in beta and stockpiled for almost 2 months but you CAN do it just by making hulls and selling them at cost or a little over and your out 0 creds or even turn a profit in a week of buying resources crafting the hulls and selling them.


i ground it out in practice mode since im not interested in selling to the public at large and mainly doing it to supply good quality stuff for myself and a few friends.

I tried it too...didn't work. Like Barb said, you can bang it out in 2 hours or so. I went to 4/4/4/4 in about 2.5 hours but I was in tell hell and was running around inefficiantly looking for missed resources and traveling back and forth to Lok.

Hrm...I used my macro without ill effect.

Tho, I did get caught at the XP cap twice so far where I only needed like 1k XP to reach the cap, but burned up 15k of resources.

D'Oh!
