Unlike other professions, seems like all stats are important to shipwrights. Some stats help one category, and other stats help other categories.
Seems like Overall quality and toughness are especially important, but the higher you get all stats, the better. This seems like a no-brainer, but I guess what I'm saying is that if you have the choice betweena resource with one incredible stat...say Overall Quality of 900+, or one with all stats that are 700+ I'd choose the 700+ vs. the 900 OQ.

The short answer is this. Shipwright does not currently use Decay Resistance orEntangle Resistance.
The longer answer: the most commonly used attributes are; UT, OQ, SR, HR, PE, CD, MAL.
So, for metals; OQ, SR, HR, CD, UT, MAL
Radioactives: PE, OQ.
FIberplast: OQ, UT, MAL.
Inert Petrochems: OQ.
Reactive Gas: OQ, PE.
Inert Gas: OQ.
Ore: OQ, SR, HR, UT sometimes MAL.

See the guide sticky at the top. Inside, you'll find the "Shipwright's Complete Resource Shopping Guide".
This will tell you every single stat that's important for every resource that we need.

argh, why you tell
Resources with the stats that are important to Shipwright Used to be cheep.
Now they will jack up the prices on thise resources to
Used to get 900OQ and 700CD quality steel at 2-3 cpu
Now they will cost like 5-10CPU and my prices will have to go up to pay for the resources :*(

900 OQ / 700 CD doesnt exist on any server since the CD on steel prior to JTL was capped at 700.The new Hardened Arveshium Steel has no CD cap that we know of right now as in BETA it was completely amazing compared to our best in most live servers. I think Naritus has the best hardened arveshium steel currently. can anyone verify this?

I think the demand alone for the steel would drive the price up anyway.

Steel probly, but it will go up 2 fold 1) for the increase in demand and 2) realising that they got high quality SW resources
But the ore, copper, petrochem and all thatI was hoping to stay low :*(
