Hello guys I am not a shipwright so I am not sure exactly how all this works so I was hoping someone could explain a few aspects. I tried checking the two sticky guides for shipwights but for some reason they never load for me (the SWG forums have always been buggy for me).

Lets say for example I wanted to get a shipwright to R.E. a lvl 10 engine for me.

Can he take a good engine and make it better or does he make a totally new engine?

Does he need resources in addition to the components?

If he needs multiple components to RE one, do they all have to be of the same lvl and same type ?

What does a SW usually charge to RE an item?

Is there any other pertinant info about RE that I may not have asked about?

Again sorry if this has been asked several times before but I was unable to find the info.

To RE you need the same number of parts as the part level you want to RE. So your level 10 engine would take 10 level 10 engines to RE.

Once you do, it takes the best stat from all the available parts, adds a bonus (level/2+1%?) and combines all the best bits of all the parts. For level 1 parts, obviously this isn't very helpful. But for say a level 5 part....

For instance (Random numbers):

Tier 5 engines:
Accel: 55 48 56 80 32
Decel: 43 78 31 55 44
Max Speed: 92 33 49 56 37
Mass: 1000 1500 2000 2500 3000
Energy Drain: 3000 2500 2000 1500 1000
etc.

The resulting part will have:
Accel: 80+bonus
Decel: 78+bonus
Speed: 92+bonus
Mass: 1000-bonus
Drain: 1000-bonus
etc.
