Existing Factory Support is fine the way it is. I am more interested in knowing when the Output Hopper inventory bug will be fixed. I lost 2 crates of Ship Paint Kits in it last night.

I support full factory support mainly because there is no reason not to do it. The large amount of resources will always keep the runs smaller anyways and there just is no reason why SW should be treated differently then any other proffession. The honeymoon is over, the demand has shrunk anyways.
The only reason for factory support now is to now and then do a small run of exceptional parts rather then doing them by hand and having to deal with failures. Yes, I will gladly give up the resources for one engine to make 20 identical ones. And what does that get me? Twenty engines that will sit on my vender for who knows how long but at least I won't have to deal with them for a while and someone who happens to need one may find one... I mean in case you haven't noticed, most SW parts are optional anyways with all the loot parts out there... Like I said, the honeymoon is over and it certainly wasn't due to the lack of factory support. At this point why bother, but then again, why not either.

I'm for full factory support. Quite frankly, if it saves me time, I'm all for it.

Well personally I think it is rediculously hard to stock vendors like all the other professions, you cant carry around 50 chassis with you uncrated and stock them....
Its much easier to have things crated so you can take them around to various vendors and disperse them equally....
If chassis, and components had the ability to be made by a factory that would be fantastic...Maybe a limited schematic...Instead of 1000, 500 is max?
or maybe a new form of factory (SHIPYARD)-(6 lots?)is needed that costs a lot of credits

I vote against factory support just for one reason.
One large crafting guild could support the entire server with components at lower prices then normal crafters could.
And i like the personal dedication, unlike other proffessions where you just run a 1000 components and trow them on your vendor.

Hey Styx you have another vote from me for no changes to the current level of Factory support. Large guilds could very easily gain control if further factory support was introduced.

I can back this expanding for only one line of goods
Armor - The ONLY reason for this is me wanting to offer crates of this to customers, rather than them having to haul it about by the packload
Thats it, the rest can stay as handcrafted as far as im concerned. Players will only use this as a stick to beat us with over prices, and we dont need any more beatin on that front

1. Had I voted, I would have asked for expanded but not complete factory support. I think that there is a elegance in having a shipwright lay the keel of a starship and build the best possible chassis that will hold the most mass, and have the greatest durability, by hand. I don't think shipwrights should be able to pound out crates of everything. Limited schematics (4-5 identical pieces each) sure, but not total factory support.
2. As I said in answer #1, I would like to be able to craft a matched set of guns for a client. The pilot comes to me with a specific need for mass, fire rate, charge per shot, etc. I work to create the gun they need, and then make a set for them. I'm not going to advocate the ability to make large numbers, but I would like to have the ability to make small amounts of identical items.
3. I believe I already hold a "compromise" position on this issue.
