Master Shipwright

Master Dance (Didn't expect that did ya ^_^)

This is just to break up the tedium of minimal social life as a crafter. Besides I'm a blonde and it is a great advertiser

Merchant 0404

This allows for the 20% discount and 3000 itrems on storage.

Storage is key as you will ned alot of storage to stock up on loot components for Re-engineering. I have yet to break 2000 with all the paint kits I stock and al of the components I keep in stock.

I prefer to do custom work so there are enough components to Build a ship of each level once. I craft for restocking purposes ofen but it does not take alot of time to do as I do not advertise (barking droids or spamming)

I did consider DE but I didn't want to grind and didn't want to limit my focus on shipwrighting.

Shipwrighting is the sole reason I got into SWG and t is still an interesting profession.

As of this post I dropped to 0044 dancer to redecorate my merchant tent with the master level 'slim' vendors and will grind back Dancer soon.

My character is Master Shipwright/Master Weaponsmith/Master Artisan/3044 Merchant. I find that the resources I use for SW and WS are totally different, and allow me to keep them separated (backpacks are wonderful). Whatever junk resources I come across for WS, I just put into my SW bag for use. I spent a long time looking for some of the best resources for WS, so as I replace the second rate stuff, it goes into making some good quality ship parts. Due to the drop of customers due to the horrific idea called "Space Mining", my uses as a weaponsmith are currently called on more than my uses as a shipwright. Guildmates help to keep me aware of high spawn/high quality resources so I may move my 18 harvs (Yeah, I got a Jedi alt. I play the crafter more). I have noticed that some of the Shipwrights that were around when JTL was starting in use have disappeared, which may or may not be the only thing that is keeping what few customers I have coming to me for ship parts. I do find that this has been a good pairing, as it keeps me busy, and keeps a steady cash flow coming in. When I finally finished grinding the template, I was EXTREMELY poor. Within one month, I have recouped ALL the money I wasted on grinding resources. Not a bad turn around time!

Bynrolan Pre NGE Jedi Chilastra
Sweetriver Pre NGE WS/SW (now forced to choose one)
Why can't we all just get along and give us back the game we all fell in love with so LONG, LONG ago?
SWG is like the stock market. You invest your time, money, and effort, and it crashes around you, then changes it's name hoping you will forget what the last one did to you so they can do it again (NGE = Butt Probe from a far away galaxy, not Star Wars)

Master Shipwright, Master entertainer, and if I remember correctly, 2040 musician, 2040 dancer, and some merchant.

This allows me to craft all the ship parts I want then head to the cantina and have some fun playing music or dancing. Granted I can't inspire myself, but interdependancies are a good thing in my book.

IIscandar, would you comment on the above posts regarding static lot swaps, is it considered an exploit as the poster so rudely said?

I've never seen anything officially calling this a exploit that could get you banned.

Creating a character on a server and then placing harvestors is within the rules. Putting someone on admin is within the rules. Never going back to that server is within the rules as far as I can tell.

What I do see is a sort of unrealistic advantage to be gained. I think there are more than a few players out there that resent this sort of behavior. If you consider the server a sort of closed system where only the players who are active on that server can have influence over it, using static cross server lot swaps is unfair. It does seem to be exploiting the mechanics of the game to gain an advantage.

Still what could be done about it? Players should be allowed to create characters on different servers if they want. They should be allowed to own property on those servers yes? What if a player was on one server for a year and had built several homes and harvestors, then decided to go play on a different server for a few months, it seems unfair for this person's investment to be lost. What if they want to come back to that server and pickup where they left off? It is this mechanic that is being exploited to create 100+ harvestor farms out there.

People may not like it, but that doesn't make it a true "exploit" in the bannable sence.

Feel free to correct me if you have other information.

Now back to your regularly scheduled thread topic.
