IIscandarwill be our new correspondent helping us work through issues with the Shipwright Profession. He willbe representing your issues to me and the developers.
The blue-name torch will be passed on to him some time today and he’ll be making an introduction post as soon as possible.
I also want to thank everyone who submitted candidate letters. There were many excellent candidates it is always a tough choice.
I would also like to thank
styx66 for all you have done for the correspondent program. Your ticket to Blue Glowie island awaits you. Enjoy!

Well, I had a suspicion this would happen.
IIscandar seems like an extremely nice guy, one who might even do very well with the position, but I've lost respect for a correspondent-selection process that would result in a leader with all of 8 posts in our forum prior to February 25, 2005. These forums are supposed to be about community, and when that community is forced to rally around someone whose current contributions are minimal at best, it becomes a falsehood.
Accuse me of sour grapes if you want, but that isn't really the issue. I'd have been happy with a number of other people. There's plenty of shipwrights I've seen around here for a long time who've made the kind of contributions and possess the kind of knowledge I'd trust to head our profession.
But this wasn't one of them.
I'm hereby retiring from this forum. I love the shipwright profession, but it's time I put my efforts back into the smuggler community. I wish you all the best of luck.

I'm sorry you feel that way Tomo. I was hoping, if I was selected, thatI could count on posters like you for input.

Congratulations IIscandar. You have a tough job ahead of you with a big focus on CU, you need to make sure that our issues still get heard. In addition we have all the changes that RoTW brings.
It would be nice if the devs could put a person on our niggly little problems for a day two, like Engine YPR, Droid Brain Upgrades, Capacitor recharge, experimentation anomalies, these things wouldn't take long to fix with a dedicated body to look at them and they would improve the gaming experience manyfold.
IIscander, I hope your voice is lound and clear because we will be asking you to shout above the noise that is CU.

Being a correspondent is not about being the most popular or one that has the most post count in a particular forum. Take me for example I have been a DE since almost launch and I know every little thing about droids as much as the best DE correspondents do, yet I rarely post on DE forums.
Contratulations IIscandar you have my full support!

Welcome welcome!!!
I've only recently picked up SW, and I plan on specializing, rather then becoming an all around crafter (yup, I'm a dabbler.. take that how you like) But I CAN say that the information compiled already here is incredible.
I hope that with your help, many of the more important issues can be worked through, and I'm sure when it comes, the community will be there to assist en mass.
Good luck, and stay in touch
