If it's not a bug I have 300k of Durralloy Steel I just won at auction for 22cpu that I probably wont be using. heh.
Another hotfix is coming down the pipe, and no mention of the CD cap.
that's the same hotfix that just got patched to live.

So what you are all trying to say, dont craft anything with CD in steel, iron, alum, till this gets fixed or admitted that its capped?

I've read over in one of the other crafting forums (Weaponsmith) if I remember right, that this issue has already been posted to the correspondents forum. The only thing I think mos t people want to know IIscander is whether or not this change is intentional or is it a bug? If it is a bug, then I'm willing to wait a bit for the fix. If it is intentional I won't be around to care when and if they fix the issue.

My feelings exactly. I have made a couple of the Elite components, but I'm not going to craft for the next couple days, at least until there's some offical word. Instead I'll play with the RED bonus and RE some stuff.
If it is a change, then I'll have to change some of my recipes.

If only KajaGrae and IIscandar would send me an email in game to explain..../hint hint.
Currently been busy at work to figure all this out.
Problem will be if my spenditure on resources to prepare for crafting is going to be
down the drain with these changes..... ![]()

Yup - I agree. I'm not making anything until we hear something. My gut feeling is that this is a bug. However, if they changed the way stats are calculated... again.... without warning... well, all I can do is laugh. LOL

Still though, I was able to make armor with the same stats using the same resources with inspiration buff both pre and post pub24.
It really looks like it is related to CD. Something with the cap or requirement..because it doesn't seem to be effecting starship armor or anything else that doesn't have CD stat requirement at some point in the process.

I think the CD cap isnt functioning like it was before. Ive noticed it when working with speed component upgrades for weapons. Pre patch 24 I was capping out 100% on speed. Now im only hitting 82% using the same resources. Engines are having the same problems. PRE patch 24 I could get 100% speed, now its 88%.

I have been doing some tests with the following resources and schematics:
Aluminum in Durasteel Plating (uses HR and UT, that should have 800 and 900 caps)
Aluminum in Deflector Shield Generator (uses CD and SR, that should have 800 and 900 caps)
Copper in Droid Interface (uses SR, that should have a cap of 800)
Iron in Starfighter Engine (uses CD, that should have a cap of 500)
Siliclastic Ore in Deflector Shield Generator (uses SR, that should have a cap of 600)
Steel in Deflector Shield Generator (uses CD, that should have a cap of 650)
Right now I don't have the time to post the numbers, but from what I've seen looks like this is actually a bug that only affects CD in "Iron" and "Steel".
I wouldn't craft anything that uses Iron or Steel and requires CD, but you shouldn't have any problem with anything else (not that there is many schematics that don't use Steel or Iron and require CD...)

Yeah, that's what i'm seeing as well, in both my SW and in a smal partin my droids. I hope they can fix this soon.

Everything i have crafted is VERY similar to pre pub 24 even if using CD as a stat. This will make it MORE possible to have BETTER stats later on IF CD goes higher on resources used. I craft and sell A LOT of parts maybe even avg 4mil a day in sales (i keep my vendors FULLY stocked and that means missiles and chassis' !) Most of the pilots on my server love a ONE STOP SHIP SHOP.

All I can do is ask them. I trust that it is not a very easy issue to pin down though. The code of this game system is very VERY complex and integrated. I will keep asking as well as the other correspondents from weapons and armor.
The code of the game shouldn't be integrated. A good design for something as complex as SWG has the code modulerized. But I can tell from all these bugs that the SWG devs haven't learned that yet.

I'm getting very tired of this sloppy work these people are doing.
I collect my own resource and it's bad enough having to put up with endless amounts of incaps on my CL1 crafting bod than to have most of your resource turned to crap because of inept coding.
