Super sweet. I never thought about doing anything in Flash.
I'm a programmer and our departments senior graphics artist/designerand if I can be of any assistance please feel free to call on me.
If I may offer a few suggestions:
- Make the UI a little larger. With that comes more information
- WIth the above suggestion maybe add what each upgrade does (ie Extended battery adds to this stat but takes away from this stat, etc)
- Maybe for giggles and grins (and I can work an FLA out to send you for example) is add some SW style text in the background. Im a big flash fanatic and I love what the tool can do.
Other than that I think some nice suggestions have already been made. Without going to far in depth by adding a mass calculator (which I know can be a time consuming thing incorporating that into "actionscript" I think this is truely a step in a good direction for crafting guides.
I know the pictures dont normally come that way via screenshot, how did you make them look that way (cartoonish I mean)?

I got all SW component pictures via screenshot and ship pictures from JTL shipssection in soe web site, cropped the size for my needs and used Magic Wand tool (Tolerance 10, Edge Feather 2 or 4 in Fireworks).
Also i play SWG in window mode and use CTRL+ESC forother opened windows or softwares.
Iwill make an exe file from swf, will put it to my web page soon and i think players can use this guide at bottom or top of their free space on their desktop. So size is 800x150 pixel. I think if you use flash you can always create many many space in same UI.
And thanks again to all visitors to my web page and this thread.
I'm collecting now all suggestions and they are nice to my next steps.
Take care.

Cornellius your site looks really nice, good job there.
One thought i had that I was thinking about working onwould be adding a feature showing stat lvls to look out for, both for crafted and looted (pre REing).
I've only had JTL a week or so myself and find the amount of statistics to take in at varying levelsa bit boggling.
Connecting it to a database you could show the values for standard/good/best seen stats for each value at each tier and cert lvl, this would be hugely useful while searching the bazaar to help decide which components are decent.

Very nice. Are you planning to ever make it a stand alone flash executable that people can download rather than having it embedded in a web page?

The new Freelance Guild's ship is out now, I think it needs to be added to this guide.
