ya i think this is so funny that people complain about the 'lack' of factory support.
they'll be the same people complaining that 'so and so' has cornered the market.
Here's a good idea..if you can't keep your vendors stocked all the time (because crafting is too time consuming)..then simply, don't. nobody is saying you have to. We all need to get out of this mindset that we need factories to make credits. you don't just work at your own pace and have fun.

At first I thought the notion of no factories was good. However, I have changed my stance on this for the following reasons:
- Demand is too high for certain things, especially tier 1 components. I'm frazzled to the point that every time I receive a tell asking me to make a set of tier 1 components, I cringe. Why tier 1? Because these folks haven't looted anything yet. They need that "starter pack".
- I saw one person's reason for this and had to agree. Weaponsmiths and armorsmiths leverage the "three amazing success"by turning that crafting sesssion into a manufacturing schematic, and charge extra for that item. We can never hope to do this--it's just plain luck at this point, and we're forced charge a uniform price.
- I've used to have a crafting player--a bio-engineer--same situation, no factory support. It became a major time sink--a boring one at that. I'm a master shipwright, but only 0/1/0/0 pilot. This is not balance.

I am able to keep my vendors stocked all the time, but just barely. Currently I have taken a break do to lack of steel, which has allowed my alt to become 3/4/3/3 imp pilot in a short period of time. Like I said just limit schematics to a low amount, at max you should beable to run off a factory crate of 50. This will still allow the handcrafters to keep up. The rate a factory makes a item is actually slower than handcrafting the only advantage of it is that you don't have to craft non-stop.
Currently with how much I crafted the first week I mine as well have been a factory. I'm not asking for full support of all items in factories just some. Hell I could careless if a factory took 5 minutes per item as long as it gives me time to finish mastering pilot and continue my jedi grind.
If people want there items to there specifics they can send me a mail with a custom order.

im a full time student (15 credit hours) part time work (28 hours average) master shipwright and only imp pilot 3222. im indifferant to the factory support. i can make chaff and missiles in crates and upgrade componants in factories. this latest few days of jtl game time has found me making more and more "custom fit" orders ie. 16.5 energy per shot x mass x min dam x max dam etc etc so im not sure how doing factory runs are going to help me out with that. but i do want to say that factories would allow me to fly more since im so far behind the curve by making sure people have their stuff to fly.
i can thank the guild for being patient with my flying noobness though. they do understand that i have been crafting my butt off and reversing caps to help them fight in space since a MASTER SHIPWRIGHT makes crappy ones (sorry i had to put that in) i sure do ask a lot of questions when i do get a chance to fly and some do help me get xp and get some missions done so i can get up the levels as fast as possible
