Its for a new mark 5 reactor that has worse stats than our current mark 5 reactor, or so i read.
To be fair, as far as I know, that reactor was made at 66% and the shipwright who made it did not include an upgrade component for that test.
Correct.

lol, Icaris gets the AS stuff and I guess you can have the SW stuff. And I keep all the Ewerkis and Mito
It won't be happening for a while though.
So far very little content for non-combat/crafter players has been located.
However, there are something like 20+ schematics some place, or so we've been told.

Seriously Commtampers, If that was true, for one, you could forget everyone working hard to give us better POB components. Bugged since launch of ROTWOr the people working hard to give entertainers more tools to be entertaining with, or maybe we could just forget the new house coming with the expansion, uncraftable by architectsor the skiff uncraftable by artisans. Then lets throw out the whole inspiration buff system that allows us to craft better than ever before. Good point.
Allow me to explain..........myself. This assertion is based off comparing general ground combat with space dynamics. Most of this content is geared toward high level ground pounders. I have yet to hear of a single quest in the expansion that is geared toward pilots. Theonly reason I switched my main avatar to ground combat was in hopes of boarding capital ships, something which is rumored to have been removed.
May I remind you that the new reward items are better than the crafted items and throw crafters out of the loop. Maybe I am flame happy, but I seem to have a reputation for that in the shipwright board. I think I'm falling into relapse
Tell you what though Comm, I liked the way you wrote your response to my response much better than the blanket statement that SOE doens't care etc etc.
Also I remind everyone again, no one has completed all the quests. We have no real idea of the total amount of rewards that are possible with all the quests.
I've heard there are still quests in live that no one has found yet. So don't judge this expansion once and for all on the info you get from beta testers.

Yes as has been mentioned before in this thread the reactor is a schematic. Isn't that including shipwrights?
I like that's its a nod in SW's direction, but I haven't liked that it sounds like it requires a combat character to aquire but at least it has multi-uses.
Final product items I'm kinda luke warm about, I'd have perfered a subcomponent schematic. Instead of an elite Mark V reactor, why not an elite Mark V overcharger (that could also be used in the Elite POB reactors) and Mark I - IV versions? Or limited use YPR enhancers for engines? etc, etc, etc...
I've been reading the thread here and tbh I think its time someone come up with support for the devs. SWG Galaxies is a phenomenal game very few MMORPGS cover more than one environment and having the ability to do ground and space missions and also walk around in the bigger ships is just stunning.
I understand that having a lack of space content with the TOW expansion is frustrating however reading between the lines it wouldnt surprise me that SWG are in fact working on a SPACE only expansion which I think would cover the capital ships missions etc.. that demonstration for the fan fest was pretty well worked and leads me to think that they definitely have something like that up there sleeve.
As for the lack of crafter content in the expansion and in fact generally I think that across the various skills this is a concern and that the game could benefit from some new crafter content to help support the economy.
In my humble opinion I dont think we are being left to our own devices I think they are working on stuff.. I dont think theyre telling us and perhaps that communication should be better however I would also say that within this thread someone mentioned that not ALL the mission in game live have been experienced by any players as yet.... so does this mean theres content which has not yet been revealed...
Gotta take another look around that galaxy..!!

The first one was JTLS. A whole space combat system, 2 new races with their own schematics (armour, cloting), 4 new professions (well, SW and 3 pilot factions), 10 space sectors and lots of quests (even if most of them are boring to death). The ships, gear, clothes, etc... was consistent with the timeline of the game.
The second one was RotW. Just a space mining system, 1 new planet and 1 space sector. No new races or professions. Some quests, but some of these are still bugged. The content is out of place in the timeline of the SWG, and there is some seriously unbalanced ships and weapons. But the fact that it combines space and ground play gives a new view to the game.
What we get now? The third expansion, ToOW, only offers 1 planet and tons of ground-only quests. Oh, content is even more out of the timeline than the previous expansion. Come on, it has things from KOTOR!
Sorry for the small rant, but I don't think that a ground-only expansion is bad. it's just like this is a poor excuse for an expasion.
I still have yet to receive my YT-2400. The quest seems at the moment to be excruciatingly difficult. But as things are getting fixed it seems to be getting easier. Without going into too much detail the quest will require a well orgnaized group to be completed.
Interestingly enough it is not like other SWG missions that require straight brute force there is some puzzle solving involved. However IMHO I think this quest is a little hard especially if it is going to just give a Deed. But again I do not know what form the YT-2400 is given in as I have yet to complete the quest. I'm hoping it is a limited use schematic but I expect otherwise just based on recent expansions.
But for the record, I really like this expansion. I don't know why but the ground quests (even though they're not tailored for crafters) are really really neat. And if anything, this could be a good excuse for players to pick up a combat profession or make a combat player on another server just to get to play parts of this game they probably don't know anything about. On top of that there's alot more to this expansion then what has been found already, or at least that's what I'm speculating. And even though there isn't really any new space content, we may consider that a blessing compared to what RotW did. At least we don't have to pick up this expansion to stay competative in space (not that everyone here fly's a RotW ship either).

The thing from ToOW that really pisses me off is not that it's just for ground-combat guys (I have a full templated jedi I don't play because I don't like how the ground combat is right now; this could change if some changes I hear are on TC actually go live), but the fact that each expansion has less content than the previous.

You do have to keep in mind that it was over a year since the game launched that this expansion was released, and they said they had been working on some parts of it since before the game launched. That's a long time to develop what was supposed to be the other half of this game. Every expansion since (and probably in the future) has been 6 months apart, which is less than half the amount of time than the devs had for JTL.

Personally I'd like to have less content if it means the content is a) higher quality and b) less buggy. This new planet is pretty cool, although I must admit I am biased when it comes to my choice of planets. I prefer to play on planets that in all reality would be the worst places to live on. That's probably why I live on Lok
. I'd take this planet over the wookie planet any day.

Hehe, if you can't rant here then where can you rant?
