I mine my own and sell for 50cpu for all components.

Other shipwrights pay 50-100 cpu for their asteroids, so I consider mine to be quite inexpensive for Corbantis.

On the rare occasion asteroid resources can be found for sale on Intrepid, they are selling at 100cpu, even for the tiny stacks. I wish I had more time to mine for myself, because the prices are nuts - I could make a solid living selling 10k stacks for 1 million each.

Question: does it matter what type of asteroid you're buying? I'm looking to get into the business of mining and then selling, but I'm not sure which type to mine. Is there one that is needed more or better then another?

your highest demand will be petrochemical, and after that asteroid. The demand would be equal, but so many people do the first set of quests 'just to try it out' and find that mining iron is.... mildly monotonous.... So they quit and move on to something else. But they have this iron asteroid they can't use and sell it to their local shipwrights.

I try and make these selloffs worthwhile enough that people give mining a second shot, but often to no avail.

It's all gone. And so am I.
