Interesting...but did you mean x2 or squared...cuz your numbers are off.

I do not sell Chassis. I sell components at 20cpu. Even at that price, I can not keep them in stock. I use only Uber resources and have been known to sell out before I get back to the starport. The hand crafting is killing my wrists but I make alot of money. I would suggest you try a price over the weekend. If you do not sell out on weapons, shields, reactors, and engines over the weekend you are either priced too high or the quality is too low. Chassis take too many resources and move to slowly to be worth it for me.

ANd more to the point, you could save on vendor maintenance by not REing, and simply selling the 5 components to a chassis dealer for 5K a piece... 25K total

True, but some of us want that elusive Firespray schematic! I don't even think about listing RE'd components unless they were lvl 4 or higher, everything else goes to the dealer after being RE'd

Each server is different as well as the quality of items. If you find a shipwright making the best of the best components, the price will reflect it.

I agree with this summation.

Checking the Vendor search, I discovered many shipwrights cranking out what amounts to barely worthwhile components while charging premium prices for them. I build some high end pieces and charge around the same rate as some of the cut-rate hacks do and I sell enough on a regular basis that I am holding a very steady pile of credits.

I have had a few complaints that my components are to "pricey", which I answer with..

"Compared to what? The shipwrights that charge exactly the same as I do, yet have stats significantly lower then what I offer?"

Which usually results in a, "I suppose your prices are okay then..."

I do my very best to gather and keep piles of resources that will give me, at the very least, all green in the crafting window.

950+

All stats.

Anything less is barely civilized, unless it's missiles / chassis, in which case I don't give a damn.

It's all gone. And so am I.

My Shipwright Prices is charged according to demand/availability/usefullness/level.

Chassis - 3-5 CPU (Just have grind chassis in stock Tiers 1-4, Master Level is special order as well as Heavy Variants)

Master Level (rare) - 850K

Heavy Variant - 750K

My resources are high end, so I don't waste them on chassis at all. To me chassis is a waste of resources, and I charge exorbitant amount for it, as I hate going to harvesters, and my regular steel supplier jacked up their prices (after buying a couple million units of steel....) Anyways, I focus on high OQ or and High Secondary Stat for my components. Besides you can get a B-22 Deed for only 400-500K these days and they seem to come to have a steady supply.

Components are based on quality and rarity.

I have a Master Shipwright Crafting Suit w/ a 43.999% crafting station and 13.99% Tool.

I RE all level 1-3 items and sell them accordingly.

RE L-I = 700 to 1500

RE L-II = 2000 to 10000

RE L-III = 3000 to 100000

RE L-IV = 40K to 100K

RE L-V = 50K to 150K

RE L-VI and Higher = Usually not on the vendor

Why charge so much for some components, well some boosters RE'd have so much better stats than I can ever make, that and they're very low mass.

I don't make armor, I use RE'd armor, besides who uses armor beyond Level III anyways?

I make reactors, engines, shields, capacitors and weapons.

Depending on the rarity of the resources (High quality Gravitonic Fiberplast or High Quality High Grade Pliometric Radioactive) the component would get a bump in the prices.

Most of the time I price 5K per level for standard components and 10K per level for upgraded components. However......

I have a few cases where I've been concentrating on High Power/Low Mass Reactors, these have the best OQ resources poured in, and have the most Amazing Successes and for Level 5, 14K+ Energy sub 8K Mass, these are priced to move at 90K - 125K....

Level 7's I stock weapons, but mostly on made to order, as people preferences differ and some looted components are better. My capacitors are quick charge as almost everyone carries Cap Overcharge droid programs anyways.

I really don't like to craft, sometimes I feel like it but I found that it's the most challenging aspect of the game.

Now try to cram everything into an Agggressor! and you'll know what I mean. I've done parts before for a B-22, so I have a pretty decent set up.

Also loot at times are better, especially boosters. I never ever make boosters, looted boosters have more energy and power.

That's why even at RE L-II they're priced at 100K as they're rarer.

Basically, it all comes down to this. I only want to re-stock my vendor once every two weeks. When the restock email comes, I cringe and fear it. I make a decent amount of money. Not a lot. And I advertise when I need money. Otherwise it's all word of mouth. Oh by the way I usually don't wear my Master Shipwright Tag.... That's just asking for trouble.

Anyways... I'm almost getting burnt out, so I jack up my prices.

I just hunt for the Black Sun Helmet/Illegal Core Boosters/RE Loot.

Basically I'm here till I get my Firespray.

Other than that, I try not to run a business, as it takes all the fun away from it. This is supposed to be a game, and Shipwrighthas so many economic lessons packed into one. (Inventory Management, Advertising, Book-keeping, etc...)

So competion fear not, as each component is lovingly crafted by your Master Shipwright. If s/he wants to mass produce, then they earned it by almost getting carpal tunnel syndrome.

As for the bulk chassis dumpers, let them sell their chassis for 1-2 cpu. I just stock it for convenience. Also other shipwrights shop over my ways as I make factory runs of subcomponents.. and my shop is well stocked with Loot for RE. Looking for that odd level 8 capacitor..? Check the vendor. It's share and share alike. I encourage competition, and I've given some new shipwrights some RE tools of the trade. Having more shipwrights takes the pressure off of me to produce. I like to play the game and currently I have enough cash to have a decent if not respectable lifestyle.

I want to explore the contents of the game, and that "Respec" token is just begging for me to find out what's on the other side....

But then again.. What am I going to do with my crafting suit? And having the best equipped starship out there? Well that my friend is "priceless"

My formula isnt terribly different than others posted but it has some wrinkles

I sell the chassis cheap, as I use average, 1 CPU resources and pour all the Exp. points into the mass

Tier 1 Chassis Blueprint: 19995

Tier 2 Chassis Blueprint: 39995

Tier 3 Chassis Blueprint: 59995

Tier 4 Chassis Blueprint: 79995

Master lvl Starfighter Chassis: 99995

POB Ships: 119995

KSE Firespray: Auction

Mark I Parts: I dont sell them..no one spends enough time at that level to need or want Mark I parts

My formula for my component prices are as such

Basic ingredients @ 8 CPU

JTL Resources @ 15 CPU (component add-ons like Overchargers, armor reinforcement panels)

I try VERY hard to never pay more than 4-5 CPU for decent quality basic resources, and I harvest what I can myself. On the JTL resources, I try hard not to pay more than 10 CPU for them (leaves me approx 4 CPU in profit). If I get a hold of premium resoources, I do tack on a surchage to the completed part (maybe like an extra 2-4k onto the final price tag)

Many SW will think these prices are too low but I am small, and I dont have the overhead of a massive mining operation or multiple vendor outlets and never plan on having that. I also dont advertise outside my home planet and cater specifically to the local population. It is less money overall but is profitable never the less. (the most advertising I do is the occasional ad-barking at the starport nearest to me on my planet, and I regiter on the planetary map.)

Little overhead, as I have merchant 4/4/1/3 as well, and I am operating my vendors in a small generic house, and I dont have too many vendors (I have a Armor/Chassis/SHeild vendor, an Ordanace/Weapons vendor, and a Engine/Reactor/Booster/Capacitor vendor. I also have a vendor for closeouts to get rid of old merchandise and the occasional RE parts I cant rid of.

I have a separate Droid engineer vendor who sells starfighter droids, program chips, and the droid interfaces and flight computers., and a basic Artisan vendor who sells old mainstays like swoops, and all purpose repiar kits, and paint/texture kits.

As far as expirimentation goes,

I dont worry about Mass on Mark II parts and very little on Mark III parts (peeps are flying big pigs like Y-Wings at that level and have mass to burn. SO I focus on things like the sheild/armor HPs, YPR and power consumption on the engines, and power output on the reactors. On the Mark iV & V parts is where I focus mass reducing efforts.

All my Mark II & III parts have overchargers/overdrivers
