As of yesterday i have 17 engine points... Makes a difference, but not disproportionate by any means, and is certainly no subsitute for quality resources.

I hit 17 points in Engines on Chilastra yesterday as well.
Using the Best possible resources and all Amazing sucess's, 8 points in Yaw and Pitch, and 1 point in speed.
Mark IV w Overdriver IV
2250.8 Energy
13,352.6 Mass
69.8 Yaw
69.8 Pitch
58.2 Roll
89.5 Top Speed
An excellent Engine no doubt, but I could have sold the resources I made this with, I estimate conservativly at 431,000 credits. Problem being the Steel which is so old, the only way I can replace it is by using 30k resource deeds which sell for 6M (sometimes as low as 4M but cant count on that price). Going to try a less expensive run.

I have 15pts for weapons and engines....I'm Mon Cal.....are the points from being Mon Cal, or because I'm MA too, or does MA even matter?

guys race bonuses only affect ASSEMBLY not experimentation... assembly bonuses just keep you from losing your resources on assembly due to a critical failure. Shipwright have never lost resources even on a failure and February's patches elimitated crit fails on assembly all togeather. In short...
race bonuses to assembly are like cheese grater mastrbation.... there just isnt a point to it.
Ouch!

To answer an earlier question...
According to a dev response made to the tailor correspondant, there is still a 25pt cap on all clothing skill mods. The fact that it still displays more than 25 seems to be unintended.
