I know it's cold comfort, but
1. Take heart that many crafters who told me that they planned to master shipwright
a. Said 'Holy sheep! 6.8 million resources to master? No way!"
b. Said "What??? No factories and I actually have to craft stuff? No way!"
c. Said "What??? Profit margins are only mediocre on componants compared to chassis? No way!"
2. Many shipwrights will be bored and have no interest in three weeks anyway (ever tried to find a master DE after the 'invasion' profits wore off?)
I know it sucks to start late - but if you are dedicated to shipwright as a profession, love crafting and plan to be in the business long term, it's no so horrible - and believe me - as many resources as you think you need - you need more so spend the last few days gathering every shred of iron, steel and fiberplast you can and get big lumps of 'em. Having 20 lots of 1k is not even anywhere near as useful as having 1 lump of 20k Harvest harvest harvest.
If you show up on the 5th with resources and a willingness to craft componants as well as chassis and work pretty hard for your customer base, you'll be ahead of the game with the rest of us in no time.
