Shipwright will probably see only another surge in popularity come Combat Balance time, when supposedly faction armor will be useful again.
People are going to have to get the faction to buy suits of armor from SOMEWHERE, and I gather a lot will take to space rather than deal with the crowding at faction farms cropping up on the surface and POIs.

I know I responded previously, but I suppose I ought to actually answer the question.
If this is a drop in business...I can't wait to see what an upsurge looks like...like when SOE eventually bundles SWG and JTL into one pretty $40 box, call it SWG Gold or something and watch them all come...

SOE seems to have some fixation with using "Platinum" in their combo packs.

Theres a drop in business?
My thoughts too.Crafting anything from 40-90 odd items a day to keepour vendors stocked! Sales anything from a million plus a day..and we're reasonably priced(i say our and we as theres 2 of us running a shipwright business)
I suppose there will be variation in performance between servers and location seems to be a factor, sales were very low in our original spot,we have since moved to one of the most popular malls on chim and sales have rocketed ![]()

I think there are 2 main reasons for drop in customers:
1)Mainly - That theres sodallcontent once master (bar, dropping and re-mastering another i.e. neutral), so little flying done
2) Lesser - HQ part cost are high, and looted items can often be better/free (as theres little content part hunting is often the prefered past time)

I haven't noticed a drop in business... I can barely keep up with the demand for my upgraded parts. Not to mention missile packs and texture/paint kits. I sell my ship chassis for 4 or 5 cpu and people buy them, it's just not worth my time and energy to charge less than that. But my main business is the upgraded parts at 15 cpu. And I advertise in the Coro spaceport.

I consistently sell around 100k - 200k a day in components. I have sold VERY few chassis lately, and we all know the reason (the SW grinders selling off their grind quality stock at unbeatable prices).
Continue to be creative with what you produce, keep your vendors stocked, and advertise in any way possible.

I've actually been experiencing an increase in sales over the past few weeks. I've had to raise prices since I had tp purchase some resources lately, and sometimes I can't stock items fast enough. Then again I don't deal in chassis, REing or reselling loot. All I do is make some of the best ship parts on the server.
