Just got a disk from a koensayer piece, soI can confirm, any will do.

After assembling 2 Firespray schematics and watching which ones come up and when, I don't think there's any pattern to it. Certain disks do seem more common than others. 6 seems to be the most rare. After that, I see 1 and 2 coming up the least often. 7 has been the one I see the most often, I probably have about 6 or 8 extras.
Generally, when I'm closing in on the last piece (both times it's been 6) I wind up having duplicates of 4-6 of the others. I'm working on my third and, if memory severs (can't check, Chillastra's being wonky right now) the last remaining pieces are 1 and... yep... 6.
I RE at all times of the day, I RE in binges, I RE small quantities. I don't think there's a pattern to what shows up. I *do* think that some of them are far more or less common than others. Just keep at it, you'll get those disks eventually. It helps to be in a guild that's based entirely on mutual cooperation. My guild has umpteen number of pilots in it that get their gear from our Shipwrights and they bring us their space loot to RE so I'm guaranteed to spend at least a half-hour or so every day doing RE, usually more. I go through a crate of 15-use tools every few days.
All the RE stuff and the resources can certainly lead one to an obvious conclusion - Shipwright is not a very easy profession to do by oneself. =oP

ok is a certain species more lucky in getting the disks? I am human have RE about 75 Kuat peices and about 300 Other items, and no disk, but a Ithoran friend of mine has already gotten 4 disks and about the same number of RE items. What am i doing wrong? or do i just have get lucky?

My shipwright is a Twi'lek and has RE'd about 200 items so far. And you guessed it... Nothing.
There is a mass exitus right now. I don't know if anyone's noticed or not but the servers have been a bit lonely these past couple of weeks. The people I talk to are saying that either they don't have the time or they are fed up with this kind of stuff.
Have they learned nothing from the 'hologrinding' incident of 2003?

I finally got my first disk last night, and it wasnt from a Kuat Piece. Disk 6, someone said thats the rarest too?

Rarity depends on your server. Either that or I'm ridiculously lucky in having 3 6/8's and only needing a 2/8 for my first schem.
I haven't seen a part since last patch...
I haven't spoken to anyone who's had the Luck tree from FS, but I would imagine that might help.

I have RE at least 200 parts and gotten jack squat. I didn't bother with RE before I was master, so maybe it has someting to do with skill level and the level of the parts. Most of the RE's I've done have been lvl1, lvl2, lvl3. I'm a human, on Intrepid.
From what I hear, not many people on the server are seeing these parts. I don't know of anyone who actually has a firespray on our server.

got 4/8 after the 9th part on chimaera today, nothing else tho

i ahve re a good number of parts and have currently parts 3-5 and i have gotten them from different items and even got a disk from a lvl 1 item so i don't think thier is any rhyme or reason to it

I've been out of the loop for a while.. just wondering if anythign has changed or been figured out reguarding the firespray disks. Any paterns or anything?
