Thread: Anyone make the new POB componets yet?

His overall opinion is simply that they should have a higher recharge rate. I'm going to craft another with a limiter instead of an intensifier to see if it improves performance.
what if he combined this with capacitoroverload3 and did the occasional shield shunt... how long could he hang in there without firing a shot?
Nice crafted blaster and better than what we can crafted now... but a RE8 blaster is better DPS
and an RE10 blaster is "far" better ![]()
The new crafted POB blasters should at least match an RE8 in DPS.... If they dont why craft them since lvl8 blasters drop pretty often.
I am not really concerned with an increase in fire power for the POB ships. PvP is 1 to 3 shot kills with any decent crafted or looted blaster anyways. PvE the damage output from the turrets seems acceptable to me.
But the new shields/engine/boosters/armor should all out perform looted componets [FYI i can live with a POB engine that is much faster but has less Y/P/R]
So if you have the stats on any of those componets crafted let me know please ... so far have only made the POB booster.

Unfortunately, the shield strength is so high that a single shunt operation only restores about half the power to the shields. With that, you do the math. Actually, I'm interested in what the new elite capacitor is like--probably crap. At any rate, we are going to continue playing around until we find that "sweet spot". Our goal is to find a solution that will allow a Y-8 to just park next to an asteroid and avoid bandits altogether.
the mining grade capacitor is crap.. just under 900 at a stellar 250k mass. 2 things that can change this are
1. the promise by TH that engines and capacitors will soon be made better than looted. hopefully this scales with mass. If so we should see 2k capacity for 255k mass. This seems appropriate considering it cant be mounted in any other structure
2. the bug plauging ateroid resources making them 6% after combine and a whopping 37% after maximizing the experimentation. Even components that have no resources other than asteroid resources are asking for UT.. whats up with that lol.

We can hope, and pray, and all that jazz.
Was able to make a shield using the higher regen component. Cant say I used a ton of the best resources but wouldn't say they were rubbish either. Came out along the lines of
Mass 250k ( no surprise there)
Drain was around the 3600 mark I think I wasn't paying attention as the friend I was making it for I know has a 20k mass 30k power reactor.
Shields strength front and back were both around 2400
Regeneration rate of 22.37
When compared to the re'd lvl 8 reward shield she was using this came out with about 150 less shield strength but just over 7 more regen.
