Just in case this was in reference to my message, I meant one in an imperial controlled sector, one in a rebel controlled and so on.


Of course, at this point we are all dreaming, but sometimes dreams come true... so dream on my fellow shipwrights!

Maybe titan class ships will exist someday, but of course thats not going to happen anytime soon like you said. Its just ideas for if/when it does happen because it would be cool to have cities in space. But when you think about it, its completley beleivable in the star wars universe that that could happen. Like in capital ships, theres medical centres, maybe cantinas, crew quartars, docking bays, and more already built in so it can better support the massive crew it has to have.

But the most likley thing to happen would be capital ships like the corellian corvette, since they already have its model and skin and things like that already in, also the corvette missions have its insides. Ships that small though would probably not have stuff like cantinas, maybe a spall med centre and some crew quarters but that would just be there to make it more realistic.

I sure do tend to ramble with my posts dont I...

I have an idea, maybe its good maybe its not. But anyways, what if guilds owned titan class ships? The guild leader would have to have the Fleet Commander profession and it could act like a city, just like the idea was before, but it could also have a guild hall section, or the whole thing could be like a guild ship with the guild managment terminal on the bridge or perhaps somewhere else like captain's quarters.

I have another idea, that may have been already there but just explained better. I think that the titan class ships should be able to be bought without anything on them. They would probably just have the bridge, and a few crew quarters as well as essentials like a small engine room and such. This way, it wouldnt overload the shipwright for needing to get together huge ammounts of recources for a massive ship, just enough for maybe 3 or 4 POB ships, still a lot but not too bad. Anyways, as the ship gets more people living in it, it should gain ranks exactly like a player city. This would allow more crew quarters to be placed, as well as things like cantinas, hospitals, a hanger bay and other things. Until the ship gets bigger, people could just dock onto holes on the side of the hull or something and appear in tubes like a cloning facility, and there would be a starship terminal in each one, but only about 10-20 ships could be docked at a time, plus they would be vulnerable to enemy attack.

There should also be required engines and reactor that would be needed as the ship exceeds certain sizes, because at first, maybe you could stick on three or four powerful engines, but eventually that just wouldnt do anything. There would have to be capital class parts that would have to be placed in seperate rooms like an engine room, or an engineering section where the reactor is. Maybe these places could be off limits to all but people who are given rights to see them.

Also, the current mass that the ship has should affect its speed, because with the current system, a bare POB ship that goes 1000 without any weapons or anything would still go 1000 with everything equipped (or does that slow it down?)

As for boarding and taking over ships, this would be stupid and unfair to use millions of credits and recources and takes months to get it set up only to get it all stolen away. The only way for this to work would be if there were titan ships wandering around the huge new sectors of space (that i presume would exist if this were to come true) that arent controlled by anyone. Guilds, or just players could get together fleets of capital ships to take control of it. Board, kill countless gaurds, kill the Fleet Commander, go through a 10 minute sequence (or so) where you must hold the bridge to control the ship without dying, then wipe out the remaining resistance. Then hire npc's to run the ship and how nobody takes it while your offline. Anyways, got to go for now, maybe more ideas later.
