Thread: Sub 5k Mass LVL 10 Capacitors - - Rare or easy?
There are several components of almost every type, with caps and DI's being the best known one, that havedifferent cert and re levels. The stats of the component always match the RE-level, so it's not a way to make great components. From the parts I've seen, I'd say the cert level is always higher then the RE-level.
So no level 10 caps with 5k mass, but a level 5 caps certed at level 10.

I looted a lvl 7 reactor that was sub 19k mass with an energy generation of 35k
BUG? Not an re'ed component
Nope, it's the Slayn and Korpil Vortex Mark 3. This reactor, along with the Kuat RCT-Z (level 8) are capable of 40K energy gen.
I bought an RCT-Z with 32K gen for 8K. Thank God the guy didn't sell it to the chassis dealer.
Wait... thats 32k as in 32,000 generation?
Yup. It has twice the power that I need in my YT1300 too.

Yeah, I've got one of those Vortex reactors myself. It has an energy generation of nearly 35K with a mass of 21K.Which lets me fully load a Krayt Gunship with enough energy left over to run Engine Overload 4, Weapon Overload 3, and Capacitor Overload 4 all at the same time. ![]()
I'm just waiting to find a level 7 reactor with low mass to reverse engineer it.
Lowest mass I've ever seen on a true level 10 cap was 33768. I used it to RE the cap below...
Overstar Industries Overlord-Class Capacitor

That's not exactly true. There are parts where the stats match the component level, not the RE level. An example of this would be the Protecto-Net shield reward from Nym's Starmap quest. Get a few of nice ones of those together with a low mass normal lvl 7 loot drop and you've got one heck of a nice light shield.

Protectonet is RE-level 7 cert level 8. Stats are above average level 7 shield stats, but level 7 nonetheless.
That's just not true. You can get protecto-nets that are 2200+ in either the front or back shield HP stat. And you can get regen over 15. Those are lvl 8 shield stats, you'll never find a normal 7 even close. Shop around for these, you'll make an AWESOME PvP shield.

That's a nice level 10 cap. I hope to put one together like that myself. I have a 64.6 recharge un-RE'd level 10 sitting in storage right now. I think the mass is almost 60K on it.
Level 8 goes to 2500 and 19 regen...

Not for less than 16k mass
Nope, that's why it's RE-level 8 and not RE-level 7.
