I dunno about you guys, but I just stuck with dunelizards in practice mode most of the way. Once I got a new box in chassis, I'd make one of each type, then go back to lizards. You don't get as much xp per item, but you get the same xp/resource and only having to use 4 different types instead of 6 (7?) was a big saver for me.
During the CU respec period I dropped all of my crafting to get to CL80, and do the stuff I needed to get force sensitive. Then when I was changing back with my token respec I goofed up and could only get 4433 shipwright. So, I had to do the last 3 boxes again. It only took me about a half hour per box even w/lizards and running back and forth from Tyrena to my house to train.

instead of running back and forth from your house to the trainer, support your friendly neighborhood Droid engineer and get a droid with a ship crafting capability and just sit next to the SW trainer

I made a droid with a crafting station when I was a droid engineer. With the multiple stacks of resources, I still find it easier to craft in my house. I'm only 900m outside of Tyrena starport anyway.
