I'm all for the NO... as allways

What i will just love, and i mean, LOVE, is merchant related. I need a damn "restock" button... having to re-stock more than 1500 items every month is just making me sad

So the question basically boils down to Quality VS Quantity.

Both sides of the arguments are gonna be valid as they work also in the real world.

But how many Dodge Neons do you see on the Formula One racing circuit.

As as shipwright...I would rather make a Ferrari then a Lada.

(mind you Lada's run forever...actually cut one in half in shop class and it still ran... back endof the front halfscraping on the ground mind you and we did have to hook up a fuel tank on the passanger seat).

no to more factory support.

the market is very soft now with decreased jtl use. this is probably due to more than one factor (i think the main one is the lack of a compelling connection between the ground and space games). if factory support increases, factory runs of parts WILL flood the market, and the long-term viability of shipwright as a profession will be in serious doubt. there is already a real glut of parts due to copious loot from space combined with decreasing demand.

more factory support = bad.

no, wait, i saw this game... "pong" i think it was called. it was really easy to understand! maybe you could make swg more like pong! think of it! fast paced action! iconic characters! MORE FUN!

You sir are an idiot, lack of factory support is the EXACT reason there is no interest in JTL, people spend 4-6 hours looking for someone to make a part because vendors are empty or people are charging to much. Factory support would bring prices inline with what they should be and allow the masses to enjoy space.

First, name calling and resorting to derogatories isn't appreciated in these forums. It is neither positive, nor constructive, and only serves to demonstrateyour lack of maturity or intelligence.

Second, your view concerning why people don't have interest in the space aspect of the game seems to be a personal one. Many of my customers have informed me that they lost interest in the space aspect of the game primarily due to lack of content following acquisition of Ace. However, if you still have interest in the space aspect of the game and the only thing holding you back is components, you should try out the new galactic search feature from public bazaar terminals.

Third, without more information concerning the prices of components on your server, I can't really help you much. However, I will tell you that factory support definitely will do nothing to help with prices. A fair majority of crafters price items based on the quantity of resources that go into crafting the item. I have seen pricing of components anywhere from 3-25 CPU across servers. One thing you might want to understand is that many shipwright schematic demand a relatively large quantity of resources.

First of all to the original poster, I hate to tell ya but this debate has been had at least a dozen times since the launch of JTL and even during Beta.

Secondly factory support is not neccessary. First of all we already have support for theone thingthat people actually buy on a regular basis, namely paint and texture kits. For everything else there is really no need for factory support. I keep fully stocked vendors and never spend more than a couple of hours a week crafting and stocking. Of course I'm not looking to stock 100 of every item on my vendor either, but if there's a shipwright out there that has access to enough resources to stock that much on his vendors then I don't want him to have factory support to make his market cornering that much easier for him.
