I recently bought a 2nd account from a friend just to make the char a SW as a support to my primary char. I won't be dropping SW anytime soon.

Also you wont be able to Respec SW SPany way since its not affected by the CU at all.

Only proffesions that are affected by the CU can be respeced (All combat proffesions, SL, WS, AS, Doc, CM, Bio and mabey Jedi)

I plan on sticking it out, but I question why I have it everyday. No one is in space on Wanderhome (small server anyways). I'm trying to organize some guild events in space, but everyone doesn't seem to care much, so...maybe I'll just make some of the new ships come out, and call it a day. I don't get any FS XP from it, so what's the point...oh wait I sold a y-wing the other day after 2 months of no-sales, and I'm one of those shipwrights that are selling high-quality components for 1k per level and still nada. Hooray?

Thats not what the devs have been saying - I believe the phase they have been using is "re-assign all used skill points".

I certainly hope thats the case - because of the SP reallocation forced upon us I need to move skills between my characters in order maintain my crafting and combat capabilities, that includes loading another crafting profession on my SW, that currently exists as a secondary on a combat character.

Not I. I'm only like 3/5'ths done, but I picked up the game, opened the manual, and said, "I want to be a shipwright, pilot and Jedi." Jedi, well,!#@$@#$ it. Dumb. Shipwright, though, :>

And I may well drop Architect, but only after I make a huge set of harvesters for myself and have a place to store it. Which might be a loooong time. So, I'm sticking with that for a while too. Overall, I'm quite happy with shipwright and don't know why you're complaining. The investment rate is high, but I've seen 500k or so in business in just a few days, and I know people who are doing MUCH better than I am. I'm going to cut into their business a bit, possibly, but that's life.

GL with whatever else you do, anyways, man.

It's all gone. And so am I.

To me, its not even an option because the grind it really took on me. I feel Ilost 3 months of my life to master it. Now I know theres fast ways to master SW. But I began JTL with 450k in creds.. It really took a mental grind on me.

If I would have had the resources (steel) and credits already horded and some crafting macros to start with I would probably feel different and drop it. But Iscrounged obsessively to master it, mainly because the honeymoon as a pilot was so good and I became as addicted to modding my ship as flying it. I mastered SWdue to my obsessionof modding my own ship.

Im a pilot and live in space, my SW supports that char, Im not bothered about the ground based system, apart from the resrouces / surveying. Will be hard if we cant do these things without armor or a group.

So I'm here to stay...

I cant see ever dropping SW. I love it to much. I could care less if i ever made a dime with SW. Im a SW to help my Guild, my friends, and myself. So i wont be quiting SW. Besides there will be a spike in SW buisness once the expansion hits, if making cash is all you care about with SW.

Considering the expense that went into becoming a Shipwright, and how in a year and a half of playing this game SW actually made me pick up a crafting tool, I don't think I would drop it.

Ditto. The grind was too much on me to consider surrendering it.

Making a combat alt sounds more appealing to me. The SW grind was killer on mecause i had no stockpiles to start with and knew of no macros to craft with...

I understand what you say.

Im about ot be Master SW. I don't sell any ship, even 1 cpu...But I start to RE. It s funny, and i hope to earn money for the first time of my life.

When i need cash, i look for loot in space. I sell what i don t need and collect the rest.

Obviously, i won t be billionaire, but i continue till i have fin REing.

I havea question: Will something change in JTL (chassis decay, improved crafted components...)? It s absolutely silly loots are often better than crafted components

SW is difficult and boring to grind (i use my own harvest). I just started an alt, ratatouille, who will be brawler.
