Thread: What professions go well with Shipwright?

I was curious from my fellow players, what professions go well with Shipwright?
Right now I'm a master shipwright/master droid engineer. Ever since SW:G came out I wanted to be a Master DE/crafter person, but, I had thoughts of

being able to find destroyed/damaged droids, rebuild them type deal.. but I was expecting us to have droideka's eventually.


I realize droid engineer goes well with shipwright just because of the need for astromechs/computers, however, I was wondering if anyone else had suggested professions that complamented shipwright well.

Architect does just fine - all the cheapo harvesters you need are right in the tree there.

The answer really is... whatever you enjoy,


DE is a natural choice but if it's not your thing, try some of the others from the artisan. You can keep it tight and do something like architect, or go up the domestic line and do something 'frivolous' like tailor. The great thing about tailor is that resources really are so incredibly unimportant so you can focus on SW, grab any old tailor stuff and bang away. Architect also offers the low resource approach. Sure, you need lots, but only a couple of things really count. I'm an archi on an alt and have no desire at all to make money so I forgo the whole harvester roundabout - make houses and furniture, use basically any old crap resources and have a blast.


Just tinker a bit and think through things in terms of what you will enjoy playing - and follow your bliss.

Pilot is nice too I like to test out my parts a little before selling. I like to know first hand what is good and what is not.

You still need to find something to use up SP though, pilot is free

I've found that Master Artisan/Master Shipwright/Master Carbineer work well together. I get fairly good armor (for running around planets surveying stuff), I'm pretty good at defending myself, and I can still make whatever I need (except droids).

Personally, I chose Master Droid Engineer and Master Artisan, simply because I want to provide pilots with a one stop shop.

I went with master weaponsmith, master artisan, novice DE. and master shipwright. DE is there to allow me to make the blank programming chips and the parts which allows me to make vech. paint kits.

My crafter alt is this currently


Master Artisan

Master Shipwright

Master Droid Engineer

Novice Merchant


Artisan for the all purpose repair kits and a side business of selling various repiar kits and vehicles

Shipwright with the focus being on Propulsion/Power systems (Engines, boosters, reactors, and capacitors) and Defensive systems (armor and sheilds) and starship consumables (I dont deal with weapons systems, nor stock chassis

DE with a focus on harvester/trapping and crafting station droids, and starship programs

Merchant for the ability to have a number of merchants, and list them on the planetary map, and list them on the bazaar terms.(not to mention storage for RE crap)


and of course the advanced Survey capability to chase down those resource spawns.

and 4-0-0-4 DE.


I like how i can sell ground vehicles, droids for starfighters and ships. I think they all compliment eachother. But it is basically what you like to do.

Thits gets me battle armour & CL54 for harvestor runs, and even when I can't fight the MOBs, I have more than enough healing to keep me alive.


Have you found anybody to heal those wounds lately?
