Okay...... is it just me or are other shipwrights gettin miffed with slowly being frozen out of the game! ie the quest ships in ROTW are all deeds!!! they should be limited use schematics, i would gladly give a player a free ship in order to build a few JSFs or Adv X-wings, yeah keep it to "if u haven't completed the quest = u can't fly em" by all means, but let us shipwrights get involved.
Further more the FIRESPRAY!!!!!!
it can take ages to get all the fragments to build it (c some of the other threads), then whats its spec! circa 212k mass 2 guns 2 missiles!! what!!! my B-Wing obliterates that!! so did mi M22T Krayt, what about changin the FIRESPRAY to 300k-350k mass with 4 guns, 2-4 missiles, that way it would make 3-6 months some people are investing for it very worth while.
Crafting... yeah i know i'm not the first to complain, but i certainly will NOT be the last..
we NEED to be able to build the even level components, we NEED to have a greater Experimentation range when crafting on all items, we NEED to be on a par with looted items! 1 example....I looted a lev 8 shield!! ~32k mass 2433 front and back 12 recharge, the only shield i can make that beets that is POB shields.
we need a more sectioned crafting approach.. example a selection of low end schematics for novice to tier 1, mid range schematics for tier 2-3, high lev schematics for tier 4-5 and a special set for tier 5 only then extra for POB ships, so it works more like freelancer, its pointless havin say a tier 3 xwing that simply cant carry a full set of tier 3 equipment coz it doesnt have enough mass!! I know alot of the other crafting professions have there problems but shipwright is simply upside down, back to front whatever, we need a full publish that is purely to make us crafters worthwhile accross-the-board again, i am aware of the developments with publish 24 regarding POB parts but thats not really where the problems are, we need the rest of the parts rebalanced and/orthe loot ranges fixing.
Space Ore... yep i know Publish 24 makes it alot easier, but its still wrong!!!
alternate idea! DE's make mining drones, these drones have say 1k cargo hold and a max limit set based on piloting skills and the Y8 ship doubles the limit!!, say then it takes em 10 mins to fill there hold up, u could either land or stay nearby to protect them, they also need batteries for power and droid repair tools if they get shot!!, shipwrights can also attach ship armor to them after being built by DE's to make them more resilient.
Interplanetary Travel... Idea since when was it 100% safe to fly from eg dathomir to naboo coz thats what the travel button suggests, what about removing the travel option completely, for players who still use shuttles for this purpose, fine, they need to b "placed" into a shuttle and actually have to sit there for X time hopin they dont get blown up, NPC ships should auto protect the transport shuttles, but it would make it more entertaining for everyone, yep i know there r people who will say " i have no interest in space" fine! i have no interest in ground combat but i still have to put up with it when i'm swoopin to mi house n back, i'm a master Armorsmith, Master shipwright CL5 player, who runs 1 heck of a risk gettin slain everytime i leave my house, but i'm a master pilot in space, what about introducin the reverse risk for ground only oriented players, they can travel anywhere on a planet without a major problem, but when it comes to space they get to "dodge" the danger with the travel button.
c'mon devs, the last 2 expansions, includin trials of obi-wan, have been for people who dont even go into space, u ask most people what they remember about star wars and there answers are jedi, darth vader, millenium falcon, xwings and death stars, so that to me suggests that they rememeber space combat and light sabers more than anyting else, so when do we get to do something decent in space!!

You didn't loot it, it's a tier 4 pilot mission reward. Don't compare crafted products to reward items.

How were you able to do the tier 3 exit mission with the Grievous fighter?

there is something special about the Firespray? nope. Just a decoration for a Master Pilot that wants to be a Bobaclone.
The one ship I do like is the Grievous fighter, you can outfit it once, and use the same ship to do every pilot squad in the game. I managed 6 Ace badges before needing a new one (Darn Storm Squad exit missions for #3 and 4 were mean). I don't think the Firespray needs more guns, but Mass, and 3 missles/1 or 2 CM would be good. 350K mass sounds right since Bwing and Krayt are around the 250K mark.

no, as soon as I have 4xxx I use it, but for grinding all the pilot professions, I outfitted it one time, and just use it for the last 3 million XP and the 30 kill/corvette.

lol, just noticed this. Looted, NOT. This is a reward shield not a loot item. You get this one for your Tier 3 or 4 reward (I can't remember which, I think it is 4). This is the one that will RE out to 2555. You are correct, this one almost can't be beat by nearly any other shield in the game. I've busted my tail just to beat it with LvL10 loot and only beat it by about 150 F/B.

Umm, learn your balance. Though the Bwing has four guns and two missile slots, it is by far the worst maneuvering ship in the game. It's even worse than POB ships. While it would be fun to add a 130K mass buff, it would be unbalanced past the degree of ROTW ships. If you can't move a mountain with 200K, you don't deserve to fly the heavyweights.

I agree the firespray should be beefed up to make it more worth the effort it takes to build one. But I disagree that crafted parts should be on par with looted. I have bought, sorted, and RE'd thousands of components in an effort to make one of a kind elite components. Reverse engineering is a cool aspect of shipwright and if you make crafted parts equal to them then you basically kill reverse engineering. They should be better than crafted as a reward for the time and effort it takes to find and put together the right components.

Learn my balance? I'm doing fine, I just said I use the Grievous to level. On my Smuggler alt I use the Krayt, YT-1300, Y8 and the DuneLizard, on the Imp alt the Oppressor, Y8, Decimator, Crimson TIE. The right tool for the right job.

I should have been more specific. I was targeting the huge mass buff aimed at the firespray.
