Thread: Fastest Engine ...

Max speed in a Mark V Engine with Engine Overdriver is 120.0

After P24, Elite engines should be able to get to 134.0, but they can only be used in PoB ships that have a speed modifier of 0.85, so it's kinda useless for racing purposes.

I don't know the max speed values for boosters tho.

Thanks, so I got quite close even with just good resources ... those SW buffs are definately worth it then

Admittedly it does help when you have a dancer/musician alt.

On that basis which is the fastest shipo? I always thought it was the a-wing, but then I went from a Belbullab to a Vaksai and with same equipment was slightly faster.

The A-Wing, Kihraxz, Vaksai, TIE-Interceptor and TIE-Advanced all have a speed modifier of 1.0

Great thanks

Has there ever been any proposal/suggestion/idea to have the stats on the ships customisable upon construction? Seems strange that you can customise a weapon to be a fast shot, or heavy damage but slow etc but ship stats are pre-set.

Even just a slight variation to have a fast but low mass a-wing or slightly more manouverable b-wing would both make the construction more interesting and would allow for some custom orders from pilots.

Just an idea, and apologies if this has been discussed to death already

Yes, lot's of sw's feel chassis take too much resources to add customization. And it would be much harder to balance the whole game with an extra factor in the equation.

I'm not in favor or opposed. It's too big an overhaul (time intensive) to ever make it live anyway.

Morning all

Our guild is having their own little competition as to who can make their ship go the fastest, so inevitably I've been called upon to make the fastest engines possible.

Using good but not fantastic resources, and the overcharger, I have managed to get upto speed 113 but was wondering what the max speed is that could be achieved?

Admittedly my alt is going to shove one of these beauties in his Vaksai and kick everyone's arse

I'm still going to try to fit an elite engine into a bwing.

You can only put the elite parts in POB ships like the decimator or YT.

Is it possible with a speed 120 engine to beat the 2k speed barrier?

A guildee has hit 1979 in a bnoosted a-wing engine overcharge IV but was wondering what the top speed I could get in a Vaksai is as with the extra mass I can craft a booster to kick his arse

Myself and a friend managed to hit 2100 (think it was 2136 cant remember exactly) with a vaksai with a 119.6 engine and amark Vbooster and overcharge 4. So yes breaking 2000 is possible.

Yes, it's possible. Before the new musician SW buff, I crafted a racing A-wing that I outfitted only with crafted components. Using boosters (and EO4) I could reach 2168 speed in my A-wing.

Breaking the 2000 speed!

I used an A-wing (1.00 speed modifier), Mark II reactor, Mark V booster, Mark V engine, Mark I Droid Interface, Reactor Overload 4 and Engine overload 4.

I could travel from (8000 8000 8000) to (-8000 -8000 -8000) in 2:45 min.
