Thread: Hundreds of REs, no Firespray disks :-(

I am master Shipwright
I made a few hundred REs on different days.
I am an FS artisan and i RE in a reasearch centerCity (i believ it is called so, where you get better crafting results)
I RE always in my shop.
I tried level 1 - 4 loots.
I tried
- only Kuat parts
- Kuat part loaded first then a different part
- different part loaded first, then Kuat part.
- Only different parts
I got exactly 1 (one) disk. An 7/8 disk.
I am desperate...
I will never have a Firespray.

It apparently has a much faster turning speed (by default) than most ships. However, that still depends on the engine as well. If you have identical engines in a firespray and another ship, the firespray supposed to turn faster.
Does it really? No idea. 
I do know that it has considerably more mass than most fighters, which is helpful. However, because PvP is mostly one shot kills, I still wouldn't recommend using it for that. It's gonna be a big waste if you work hard on this ship and get blown up in PvP battles... for PvE and group stuff it's probably awesome though.

I'm still tier 2.

I have REd about 300-500 loots (don't keep track, just guestimating), I have two disk 1s, disk 3, disk 4, and two disk 5s.

you can get kuat discs off all parts not just the kuat ones. i have gotten 5 discs so far, 2 of them off kuat parts all the rest off non-kuat.

Get a good space goind guild to give you their crap loots or go to space yourself, it take a lot lot lot of loots to get disks. I've been leveling my pilot skills on the tier 1 ships above naboo (currently 1/2/1/1), there is a nice huge constantly spawning group there. When you kill hundreds of ships, you get a fair bit of loot. Its random though.

Oh yea? I must have done about 200 pieces so far and I got TWO pieces of the firespray...but they were the same! Both 8/8. I hope this is a good piece...if anyone wants to trade, talk to me. Im on scylla. Send a tell to Martin'

Has anyone actually flown a firespray yet to confirm that this ship really does kick that much A$$? I mean, can someone tell me that it really is worth all of this?
I am not one to do something just because it is UBER.

It's all random, but here's a few tips
-Use factories to store space loot
-When you have a decent amount of pieces (at least 50) begin to RE non stop
-use lvl 1 & 2 loot: it is much better than having to keep components sitting in your factory for days until you have the required amount (like 6 lvl 6 engines)
-If you're out of pieces and you have some money to spend, go to Coronet (or Theed, etc) bazaar and RE all the lvl 1 pieces you can find.
Any components can give you a KSE Fragment, I found them into Kuat, Cygnus, Sienar, Mon Cal, Corellian etc components.
In my opinion RE has too many variables to be tested, however I don't think that being in a research city helps. I've REd all my loot close to my factories or inside my shop (800mts from Coronet), or at Coronet bazaar.. and I got quite a lot of disks so far.
Also, about disk rarity: When I was working on my first KSE, I couldn't find a disk 6 and nobody had a double 6 to trade, people said disk 6 is the most rare.. Now I got two disk 6 in one day.. In my opinion all the disks have the same %.
P.S.->Don't know if it's a confirmed fact, however it seems that armors never give fragments.. Again, maybe it's just me, but I've never ever got a disk out of an amor, and I've REd a lot of them.

I got my only disk out of a level 2 armor.
