I just had the same problem making quick shot upgrades which do require CD. Normally I make them at 97% now I'm hitting 87%. I've got an sw buff too.

I was crafting em at 90+ %. Now I'm capping at 80%. Using the same resources with 990+ stats. Seems to happen for the components, but not the actual part.
Have 3 variables since last time i crafted:
1- Have sw buff on.
2- Have the lowest box of the village experimentation branch of force crafting (please tell
me this isn't bugges after all that grinding.
3- New publish.
Anyone else having this problem?

Chances are it is only the components with CD as a requirement somewhere in the process. Can you confirm what components you are seeing this with?
Thanks!

Thread on AS forums about issues with resources, I'd go read it.

it could also be the SW buff. ive had wretched luck with them for my SW and my Chef. It actually seems to decrease quality rather then increase it. not everytime but most of the time.

Still though, I was able to make armor with the same stats using the same resources with inspiration buff both pre and post pub24.
It really looks like it is related to CD. Something with the cap or requirement..because it doesn't seem to be effecting starship armor or anything else that doesn't have CD stat requirement at some point in the process.
added *though of course I reserve the right to be wrong

Yeah, there's definitely something goofy going on.
I crafted 2 mark V quickshot upgrades using the same resources. The first one capped at 50% exp; the next one capped at 80% (which is what it should be). I was SW buffed at the time.
Figures. The devs giveth, and they taketh away.

Hi guys..
Over in the WS forum we have a focus thread on this also. The problem is mostly related to requirements like "steel" "ferrous metal" "metal", generics. Copper doesn't seem to be affected but others are. Things like plubum iron, duralloy steel and things like that in our schematics aren't affected. Double check yours and they will probably be similar.
Summerflame has posted the concern in the Correspondant forums, hopefully the Devs jump on this quick.

What has happened is that they have messed with the Resource caps-AGAIN-without telling anyone. So if you were using some Duralloy Steel with CD of 645 instead of it getting treated as a steel with a CD of 992 it is now back to the old 1000 pt system. Needless to say, this had BETTER BE FIXED. HOPE your're listening Blixtev.

That's exactly the problem.
Some numbers:
Engine Overdriver Pre-P24 (2000 Steel, 500 Fermionic Siliclastic Ore, 40% CD + 60% OQ), using Meso (994 OQ) and Osiv (588 CD, 986 OQ)
WRVcd = (2000 * (588 * 1000 / 650)) / 2000 = 904.62 (Steel has a CD cap of 650)
WRVoq = (2000 * 986 + 500 * 994) / 2500 = 987.60 (No OQ caps)
WRV = 40% WRVcd + 60% WRVoq = 361.85 + 592.56 = 954.41
WRV + SW buff = WRV * 1.02 = 973.50 => 97% max experimentation
Engine Overdriver Post-P24 (2000 Steel, 500 Fermionic Siliclastic Ore, 40% CD + 60% OQ), using Meso (994 OQ) and Osiv (588 CD, 986 OQ)
WRVcd = (2000 * 588) / 2000 = 588 (Steel has a CD cap of 1000 now)
WRVoq = (2000 * 986 + 500 * 994) / 2500 = 987.60 (No OQ caps)
WRV = 40% WRVcd + 60% WRVoq = 235.20 + 592.56 = 927.76
WRV + SW buff = WRV * 1.02 = 844.32 => 84% max experimentation

Thanks for pointing this out. I made a couple Elite components this morning, and I noticed something was up with my Steel.
I hope this isn't an intended change, and just a bug. Either way, I'd love to see some official response.
