I hope they put this type of information in the chassis descriptions eventually...
I would imagine that this ship works like the Y-Wing, in that the second projectile weapon is only usable by a second pilot/gunner.
Try grouping with someone on the ground and, with both of you standing at the terminal, launch your ship.
If this is the case, both of you will be in your Ship and your partner will be manning the turret/second projectile weapon while you man everything else.

Yes I did that, I assigned both to the main weapon group, unassigned both, assigned just the main weapon, assigned just the secondary weapon. Launched with only a Disruptor as well.
Throughout all my test, the Disruptor will not fire a shot.
I went up with two Green lasers, and if you take a look at the Tie Bomber/Tie Advanced, you will notice a second fire, especially if the refire rate on one is different(as mine have) going up with just Two Green Lasers produced the same result, the second weapon(the one inserted into the second weapon slot) will not fire. You can assign just the second weapon to the Group X and it will not fire(default #4 on keyboard)
I had to go down a notch in Mass with the Tie Advance, whip up a whole new arsenal(getting good at making light reactors that I can just overload a little bit
) and all weapons worked fine it it.

what??? All you need is a gunner in the turret seat....
