I havent made tons of credits but I have made allot , over 5 mil in the 1st week. Proabably sold about 30 ships and 50 components . All it took was an emali to my really supportive guild and a few hundred ads on the auction channel It has all been reinvested into shipwright resources and upgraded harvesters.

Well im not complaining. Just beginning to wonder if i did something wrong

The shipwright is a secondary thing so im not dying, still new ones eager to try it out should know it might get hard. At least if your new and have nothing to back it up with.

I cant belive im the only one who really dont make anything from being a shipwright.I hate the spamming in coronet and never had macros running on the auction or planet chat, im defenately not going to do that now either. Business will come in time im sure, again this ismeant for those new ones who reads the threads from people saying they earn about 231232 million each day....well at least you should aim a little lower

Personally i think the "fun" of the Ship Wright profession is the worst compared to both architect, weaponsmith and tailor....even plain artisan. The fact that you cant add all to factories really dont bother me, its so simple anyways and itsprobablythe profession with the least challenge (well except getting the money and ressources :smileyhappy

To some degree one can say the veterans got two gifts with the release of JTL. The veteran ship ofcourse, and then the ship wright profession, i wouldnt advise new players to pick that up just yet.

That's wierd, I can't advertise.

If I do I get 3 hour long lines and 3000 tells.

Try the /auction channel on a starter planet.

Uhm here's one problem, you just complained abut not selling anything but didn't once tell anyone where your shop is or how to contact you.......

Ok, I am using e-mail, tells, shouts, auction, and everything else. My prices are 5 cpu on chassis and 20 cpu on components. My only customers are some repeats I sold chassis to on the first day. My vendor is stocked and untouched by buyers. Any advice?

Give more than just a vendor and a price.

I give advice. I give tips to newbies. If you own JTL, I want you out there having fun and in a good peice of machinery, not something that will annoy you or let you down. I help people select the loot drop comps they have gotten and If they have a couple I will RE them for them. Anything I can do to tune their ship is what I do.

Either do this because the PVP Arena pit crew chiefcharacter concept is the coolest thing you can think of, don't do it because you want to make money because you won't at first.. you will lose tons.

Idid itto see Arena battles with teams vs. teams and sponsored teams. I want to be on andsponsor one of these teams and I want to fight other teams sponsored by other shipwrights.

This is a whole new game, and when I get you to see that you'll want to fly more, and when you fly more you will progress and want more equipment and set new records. We both win that way.

maybe I am just in a good location. As soon as I started working on shipwright, I plopped a ship vendor next to my droid vendor in a popular mall on Naboo in Kauri. Within 2 hours of starting shipwright I'd sold a million credits worth of ships. I haven't once advertised or anything like that. But the mall is well known. That helps a lot.

In any case, I haven't made anything like 1 million in every 2 hours. But I have made about 6-7 million since first placing that vendor. I charge 5cpu for the ships. I'm not really selling the components yet.

Hmmm,

Are you on the planetary map? Do you have a merchant barker droid? Is your vendor close to one of the starter locations?

I will fill my components vendor and make sure I have several ships of each kind every day and when I check early the next morning it will be gone.

And I am not dirt cheap either, ships are priced at 9CPU and components at 30CPU.

Now, my shop is 800m from Coronet, and I do help people out. Some of my customers are already ordering level 9 components. These are the same ones that started with a Novice box ship on release day.

Also, you can not just sell a ship, you need to make sure that you can outfit it as well. Otherwise, if they go to another SW for components those people will not be back.

You do realize that registering a ship vendor on the planetery map doesn't work correctly don't you? there is no "ships" category in the planetary map's vendor list. so vendors registered as ship vendors don't appear on the planetary map at all.

When I registered my vendors I registered them under "Components". .

If someone is really looking for Ships or Ship Components they will look under all of the categories until a Ship one is created. Equipment and Components seem to be working really well for a couple people I know on various servers. Just add something to do with ships on the first part of the vendor name and it will get visited
