i have re-eng about 400-500 and got 1 disc (2/8). got that after about 20 re-eng.been silent after that one

It is very random. Sometimes you can get more than one after RE'ing 100 items... sometimes none after 400. Remember how "chances" work. For example, let's say when you RE an item, there is a 1 in 100 chance of getting a disk. That doesn't mean that after RE'ing 100 items you will get a disk. Rather, for each item, there is a 1 in 100 chance of that single item containing a disk.

Anyway... keep at it! You'll find them!

Well thats good to know. Ive just been flustered. When I started out back when JTL was released I seemed to get one every 50 or so. I have, if memory serves, 2 of disk 2 and singles of 3, 4, and 8. So the frequency is throwing me off I suppose. Thanks for the feedback!

Wow FiloBetto - I've RE'd over 400 times and have gotten nada... It's true - life is unfair.

I've been REing like mad since I became a shipwright. Nothing goes to the chassis broker un REd. Thus far, I've picked up two 7s and I think a 5. I could be mistaken about the 5. Some number that isn't 7, which made me happy. The extra 7 didn't.

I got schem 3/8 two weeks ago from RE'ng stuff. So, yes!

The answer is no, they don't drop... not for me .

I got 3 disks pretty quickly, and now I'm in a huge slump, lol.

It is a random drop, but you can predict results with decent reliability. Most folk agree the drop rate seems to be about 1/100. I RE'd about 800 parts over a two day stretch and got 9 disks. If you RE your loot piecemeal, a few parts here and there every couple days, it'll seem like you're not getting anything. Save your stuff up and RE a ton all at once and you'll probably be pleasantly surprised.
