With the introduction of the new SW Resources Mainly the Radioactive (Special SW Resource) the need for some sort of fix for the feeding of harvestors is now a MUST !!!
when adding power ot harvestors everyone knows that if you have 5 different types of power in your inventory (MAIN OR PACK ) it is bulked into a single unit and offered to your harvie as one type ..
THIS IS A ROYAL PAIN when you are carrying around 6-10 CPU SW radioactive resources NEVER ment for harvestors ..
THERE IS A EASY FIX FOR THIS !!!!! DEVS !!!!PLEASE !!!!
simply make all radioactive resources onlyvisible to harvestors that resides in the top level inventory slots ,,
this way you only have ot place the radioactive resources that you DON'T want to use in harvestors for power, in your backpack !!
SIMPLE FIX !!!!!!!

Sorry to be a pain, but i think the easiest solution is to just not carry the SW rad with you when you check your harvies. Just drop it on the ground at your house before you leave and your all set.

A droid with a storage module is your friend. Before making harv runs or at the start of it if I forget earlier, I call the droid put in my uber radioactive and the SW radioactive I use for crafting and pull out the harvester power radioactive.

Actually the power is pulled first from what is in your inventory, then from pack, then from a carco pocket in your backpack. If you keep your SW radioactive tucked away and keep an eye on what's in your inventory, you should have no problem.

I use a storage droid when I'm on harvester runs, too, but this is a serious pain. Not a high priority, but it could be done better at some point.

Actutually my s/w radioactive it used was in a backpack NOT in my main inventory. I had plenty of power radioactive in my main inv.

Yes, some better control would be helpful. It is a pain in the ass, if one has a small stack of power left and those harvesters want to use up thr bigger stacks first.
Also, as mentioned before, not all power should be used for harvesters.

All they have to do is use the same coding that they use for the caring for the Aurilian plant. When you add water to the plant it pops up a window to choose which water to use. The same with adding nutrients. It pops up a window to choose which resource to use for the nutrients for the plant. They could easily apply this code to harvesters. The down side would be those occasions when you're trying to add maintenance and power while in a red area. It would take more time and you couldn't just run in, add power and run away as easy.
This issue has always been a problem. When you add power, it takes a percentage of all the power resources stacks in your inventory. Being a BE, some unknown rad is worth quite a bit and I've added it to my harvesters by mistake.

I hope you get manage to get this changed. Combat medics had this on their top 5 issues list more than a year ago. We use class 1 and general radioactives in our crafting and learned long ago to leave the crafting material at home when going on harvester runs.

Maybe a better solution is to be able to 'lock' a resource. Designate it as 'not for power' or 'crafting only'.

Wrong. The power is pulled from the last pile of power that the system used to power your harvesters. If you powered your harvester when all you had on you was your high-end Rad for making weapons and then place that in your backpack or a cargo pocket and then pick-up a mess of junk Rad to power your harvesters, unless you drop or store your SW Rad, you will end up using that first, before the system starts using the junk power to put into your harvs.
The simple answer is to use a Droid with a storage compartment to temporarily store your good quality Rad or to place that Rad somewhere truly safe from the harvestor power dialog box. Which means in your home or bankbox.

I've tried rearranging stuff in backpacks, and pockets and everything. It looks to me like it pullsfirst from whatever has the highest PE. So, I've taken to leaving all my radioactive except what I want it to use in my house whenever I make a harvest run. I've got over 100K of radioactive with both PE and OQ over 900, and there's no way I'm using that on harvesters.
