I was wondering what folks tend to charge to RE components? I'm a hair's width from making master, and figure I have to make the decision soon as to whether or not I'll be RE'ing for folks. A senior shipwright I know (been around since the original beta) refuses to RE b/c of customers being rude, demanding, insisting that she drop whatever she's doing in order to RE a component RIGHT NOW, etc... So, I'm wondering what a fair price for RE'ing is, to see whether it's worth putting myself out for it.
Thanks!

I figure the cost of the marterials, (to include each item), then add a multiplier.
Scyk fighter: costs 5000 units of metals. I put a 10 cpu price on that, and charge 50000
Crafted Cargo Hold: 1000 units of Space Resources: at 50 CPU ...50000 for a medium starfighter cargp hold
Level 5space loot, i charge 500 per level. 2500 per item. Higher level items (6 plus), I may charge 1000 per level, people seem to be willing to pay...)
Re Level 5 items costs 5pieces of loot (you may want to include the cost of the analyzer tool, for a more accurate "real" cost, but I don't)...so thats 125000 total price for 5 level 5 items. Then do your Walmart "price drop" or retail markup...
If they buy it, i'm happy...if they don't, they missed an excellent opportunity

I charge $5k per level of the item. Example, level 10 components would cost $50k. Haven't had a problem w/ people complaining, especially since they usually want me to come to them.

i don t ask anything. "give what you want". Customers often tipped me 10k.
For uber loots, i would ask 20 k.
I want them to be back in my shop because im kind

OK, maybe I need to re-evaluate my fee. Had a couple of people /tell me they would pay $50k for a level 10 RE and have used that as a baseline.

I go with the tip me what you want approach - it works for IDs and is good enough for me. I mean, how much effort does it take? Players are generous enough for the most part and it also gives me a chance to hawk engines or uber parts i may have.
I RE for my guild for free however.

If i am REing stuff that i have gathered then i charge levelxlevelx1000. So a level 5 piece woudl work out at 25k
I have had no complaints yet and if someone brigns me speicif load of stuff they want REing i will do it for free.
Similarly i have been knwo to craft new low tier components for newbie pilots for free. It is worth takign the hit in profits and resources short-term if the perons becomes a repeat customer all thoguh to ace pilot.

If someone brings me the complete set to RE I charge 5k per level. If I have to add components of my own I charge 3k per level per item I have to add. So a level 10 RE with 4 parts added from me would cost 170k.

If someone brings me all the parts then I consider it a service and ask only for a tip on what they thought the service was worth. I've been tipped 5k , 10k , 50k, or more. Some customers even keep a supply of component tools so they can just hand it to me ready to go. Takes 30 seconds BAM, there you go thank you come again, and they do. Just the way it works for me. On occasion the customer even takes a look around the shop and picks up a few things

I was referring to when someone comes to me to have stuff REd, not the selling price of REd loot on my vendor.
Have decided to RE for customers for free from now on.

Wayyyy to cheap people.
8 lvl 8 anythings are worth 64k base.
Assuming you RE well, and the simple fact that the good loots, factional quest loots, and inventory / vendor space you must use to store enough items to even make 1 good RE, we need to at least double the costs.
So 1 RE'd lvl 8 gun = 125k MIN
Selling 10 lvl 10 anythings for < 50 k is a waste of YOUR time and YOUR money.
