Thread: WHAT IS THE POINT OF FOOD??
Call me "Captain Noob" or "Uber Noob" but what is the point of eating food? and what is the point of the Food meter and the Drink Meter in the game? huh?! whats the point? Benifits? ANYTHING?!
Food and drink are stricktly there to temporarily increase your stats.
Other than a temporary boost there is no other use for food and drink.
However, if your full or your thirst is quenched you will not be able to eat or drink any more.
Just something to think about.
P.S. When i first started the game i thought that i had to keep myself feed and hydrated ROFL I was really worried about becoming incapcitated(sp) due to lack of food or water. Dont worry this wont happen.
Basically you can have 5 drinks and 5 food affecting you at any given time. The base line food Novice Artisans get is the Bofa treat. Made without experimentaion it boosts your action pool 35 points for about 90 seconds (I'm not a chef but was fooling around one time and got a batch that gave plus 58).
What does that mean? If you're a Brawler, for example, and are using a special attack with a weapon that has a high Action Penalty then you'll be able to make more attacks before your action pool is drained. Like wise there are other foods that boost Mental or Health pools stats so you'll be able to Survey or Craft longer. Some of the high end items that can only be made by Chefs can boost a stat by 500 or more.
All you have to do to eat the item in click on it in your inventory and bring up rotary menu to use the eat option. I will take a little while but your bar then rises until you get the maximum effect.
Food is also used by Creature Handlers to heal their pets Health and Action wounds.

food has 2 uses I know of:
1) stat boosts
2) feeding your creature when your a creature handler
