I go hunt 2 first for the creature to hit bonus.... no idea how effective it is just saw it on there and went for it, my idea was that I would hit more consistently when killing stuff hence making harvesting faster for scout exp.... after that I went explo 4 then hunt 4.... seemed to work for me, I got CH in 3 days or so of hardcore playing.... just harvesting....

Yeah I was working twards exploration 3 to use the 'ol /masksent technique...but since the change i was wondering if I should go the Hunt path.

Now with Hunt II, I get more exp for harvesting? Or do I actually get more hides / bones from harvesting? Or both?

You don't get any extra xp from the harvest but you seem to get a little more hide/bone/meat. But it isn't really that much more like 1 or 2 depending on what you harvest.
