Thread: Okay...Now What??
Not to troll (in case this has already been covered)
But what is the next step after Master Scout? I have read that being a Ranger is about as fun and usefull as an Ewok's bumdingleberry. Any ideas on what to become? What are everyone's thoughts and opinions on what is the best path to take.
And let me preempt any pseudo flames by saying I agree that you should "play what you enjoy" or "Be whatever you want " etc. etc.
I'm looking for opinions here, which i know there are plenty out there-- so lets have 'em.

Creature Handlers are fun. Nothing like running into Mos Eisley flanked by Dewbacks and Banthas to scare the people new to the game
.
Norr,
I've been asking myself the same questions lately.
I'd love to do squad leader, but unfortunately, my computer is a bit fluky in large groups, so until I can get a new one, I think I'm going to focus on maxing out my marksman skills. That at least will give me something to do for the next month as upper level marksman skills are extremely tough to solo.
I've debated becoming a creature handler, which I think could be interesting. I don't have the desire to craft more than my traps, so I don't think I'd do bio-engineer.
I could do Pistoleer, but that makes Marksman look like a stroll in the garden.
For now, I think I'm going to work on Marksman, and bank the Scout XP in case I do decide to go for Ranger or Creature Handler somewhere down the line.
I also want to increase my faction points, too. So that's another possibility.

Norr, it could be beneficial just to pick up the novice level of all of the professions that were suggested. Then just experiment. There is nothing that says you have to have your character all mapped out. And at the novice level, not counting bounty hunter which is a pain, its not very difficult to pick them all up and you can always cash back in the ones you're not going to use.
These are all good replies. The funny thing is, I actually am aMedic/artisan/Marksman/Scout.
My Medic is just truly novice for wound heals (i have First Aid II)
Marksman I an expert pistol, and advanced rifle and ranged
Scout I am advanced trapping, exploration, and expert survival
Funny thing is- I'm further along in artisan than anything else- just so i can make guns, powerups, food, (funny pink clothing for my brawler friends) That seemed to be the easiest to lvl up in.
BUT, I'm a combat type of guy. CH look's like fun, but as with every game i play DAOC, Shadowbane etc. my char always get's severely nerfed, so i don't really know which way to go.
I'm leaning towards CH/pistoleer- that way me AND mittens can both kick ass.

My current plan is to go with Ranger/Pistoler combo.
Rangers may not be uber or what not but I just like the idea.
But what is so great about CH? I must have missed something. I'm getting close to Master Scout and was looking toward Ranger, but I want to know more about CH? Also anybody going for Bounty Hunter?
