Scout Archive

Hey, i just bought the game and before i start playing i want to know what the best planet to start a scout on is. I want one that has enough players that can to have a somewhat active economy, but small enough so there are enough mobs to go around. I was thinking that naboo and corellia and tatooine are probably way too crowded but i'm not sure. Also if i do one of the smaller planets (e.g. Dandtooine) will i be one of 10 players there? Thanx for all your help!

I started on Tattoine and although there are a lot of players, there are no shortage of mobs to fight either....very good economy starting there too.....I never have a problem finding things to kill

I'm partial to Naboo, particularly if you are an Imperial. The scouting is good, the locations are great, and you can always try and visit Lord Vader and the Emperor.

Is there really much of a downside to starting on one of the less popular planets, thanx!

The only real downside to starting on a planet like Dantooine or Lok that is more sparsely populated is that many of the amenities - certain skill trainers, multiple cities, points of interest and (most importantly) other players - aren't going to be available. It'll make it a bit more difficult to ramp up, but as a scout, you should be able to make yourself pretty self-sufficient no matter what planet you start on. Planets that are more sparsely populated make it harder to find good weapons, armor, and loveseats - all indispensible things to have out there in the field. Training new skills also becomes harder, unless of course, you run into me or another advanced scout visiting.

While I'm comfortably at home in the Love Nest on Naboo (my house), I may starting hunting on Dantooine and the other planets just to get a feel for them.

Overall, I think its in the best interests of a starting scout to start on a more populated planet, and move to a wilder one once you feel comfortable with your new profession.
