Thread: can you harvest AND loot an animal corpse?

i know you can only harvest bone 0R hide OR meat from a given animal corpse. can you also loot it? if so, what in the heck would you loot? i've seen a couple of macros for harvesting. just wondering which makes the most sense...

/Alias Harvest_Bone /harvest bone
/Alias Harvest_Bone /harvest bone;/loot
/Alias Harvest_Bone /harvest bone;/loot;/maskscent
/Alias Harvest_Bone /deathblow;/harvest bone;/loot;/maskscent

i'm not sure what the /deathblow is for. i'm also not sure why you would loot an animal corpse after you have harvested the bone (or hide or meat).

can anyone explain which would be the best to use and why?

I group /harvest and /loot into one macro so I dont need to create another one for NPC mobs. You can't /harvest an NPC mob but you can /loot them. Comprende?
