Currently I am on Naboo, and have not really come across any animal that is slow enough for me to be able to run from everytime.

I gues Fambaas might work....Krevols are ok but I have a heck of a time luring just one.

Could I please get some creature names (and the planets they are from...city if you know) that I can "kite" for trapping XP?

Thanks alot!

There are few to no creatures that you can simply run faster then, if that was the case you could just trail a hundred of em behind you as you just keep shooting. However using the Phena something dart you can snare (snare pretty much roots em, makes em REALLY sow) and shoot between using the darts. Thats your best bet if you don't want the mob to get to you.

Ive found Tabages on Corellia to be real slow. Especially if you hit them with a Phecnacine Trap. And they give decent XP too.

Kimas on Talus may not be big but they are very slow. Feeble ones give about 90 trapping xp and the wolf ones about 174xp. Regular kimas give about 164 xp. I approach them unarmed and use a macro Imade to throw multiple traps at them. Once I see the on-screen warning that the effect is off I repeat the process until I run out of traps. If you do nothing but throw traps at them they sometimes break off, giving you time to make more traps and start the process again.

Levisquall (huge Squall)on Rori.

They are very slow and take forever to kill, perfect for grinding trapping xp.

Tip to getting a TON of trapping xp with these beasts:

Get as much traps ready as possible...doesn't matter at all what kind. Aggro all the Leviasquall you can...throw a different trap until you've gone through 1 of each on 1 Leviasquall, then target another one and repeat.

You get about 129 Trappingxp on each toss. Before they are all dead, you will have more than enough XP for the next level of Trapping.

Durnis, crazed durnis, diseased durnis, just anything with a durni behind it is slow to the point of relaxation.

Vir Vurs (found on Rori as far as I know) are just Rorian Durnis, but with larger sets of teeth. Very very very slow. If your exploration is up to snuff, you can always outrun these little beasties.

The Jax, vicious or otherwise, all run exceedingly slow.

Any of those three beasties will net you as much trapping experience as you could desire. Slooow, man, slooow.

I don't know about slower animals, but if your looking for good practice animals, I would suggest the Gnort. I have destroyed several lairs and at least 100+ of them. They are relatively slow and pretty weak.

After throwing a bone spur trap and marking them with a berry juice trap, I can basically blast them with 1 or 2 overcharge shots and they fall dead (usually right in front of me which is convenient for harvesting).

That's my 2 cents....

Gnorts don't net as much as the above mentioned critters though. Even Durnis will give you more XP over time, since they are a bit tougher.

Mule,

Yes - but there is a certain satisfaction from killing a couple thousand of those little buggers. I cut my teeth killing Gnorts. I love doing it. I'm the mad, phat Gnort killer.

Tabages, Tabages, Tabages..

I completely neglected the trapping line until I was just about to get the other 3 trees maxed, I think I had trapping 1 at the time. I simply spent about 15 minutes making tons of three different traps and threw them up into my hotkey slots. Tabages are so slow that you EASILY outrun them without burst run, I think walking you'd still be faster. I would get three of them following me, then throw one of each trap at them in sequence... By the time the last one had been trapped 3 times, the first one's effects were wearing off. I didn't worrky about resists and re-applying failed traps.. doesn't get you XP any faster. I actually would kill the tabages with the traps alone, as one of them sapped away their mind pool. By the time I'd killed off the 3 tabages or used up all my traps, I'd gotten 10k trapping XP or so within 15 minutes probably (90 XP per trap). The worst part about doing this is making all of the traps, since you go through them really fast, but it is without a doubt one of the safest and easiest ways to get trapping XP.. Kimas would also work I hear, though they are harder to find, andare more dangerous if you screw up and let them get close. If you can get level 11 missions you can simply take tabage missions from Coronet. These are also nice for getting combat or CH XP if you're going those routes.

Langlatches, I got my trapping from level I to IV in like... three hours tops. Langs spawn at a high rate at their camps are slow as hell, have hardly no life so bodyshot2 will kill them easily. Plus they give 125 xp per (the males 90 for females I think) if you can get one with maurader langs you'll get even more. Just line up every trap you have if it's just level I then ti'd only be four but as soon as you get more traps place them up there. I was eventually throwing like seven traps per and hitting everytime to get level four
