Guys,

I got a response on my /throwtrap question for all of the macroers out there.

Our scout dev, when he wrote the instruction, didn't plan on this being used by hand. It was more of an "internal" command.

However, he is looking to see if this is possible. He has his doubts on this though.

So, the bottomline is don't expect a fix to the /throwtrap question anytime soon - if at all. Personally, traps are easy enough now using the quickbar that having a macro is almost being TOO lazy.

Well, you can always drag traps to the quickbar and use the /ui action toolbarPaneXX and /ui action toolbarSlotYY to activate 'em, where XX and YY are the number of the pane and slot, respectively ( the first pane would be 00, then 01, 02, etc. slots are numbered 00, 01...11, second row 12, 13..22)

The only problem with dragging the trap to the toolbar is the adhesive mesh trap that only has 2 charges on it. I don't mind crafting up 10 or 20 of them when I am in camp healing up but stopping every 2 kills to open my inventory and drag another one up there is tedious. Truth be told, I usually forget to do it and find myself getting clawed by something while I am openning my inventory real fast to throw one and then drag the 1 remaining charge up to the toolbar)

ELSE... what's even worse... keeping your inventory screen up during combat... I've had to do this a number of times when I have a low # of traps left in a stack.. (frequently keep 3-4 traps hotkeyed)

Make multiple stacks, spread 'em along one hotkey pane you keep in reserve.Setupyour macro to toss one from different stacks. You can even keep the stacks in a worn pack so they don't take up inventory space.
