hello fellow scouts,

today i have done a little forage experimentation that may prove of value to those who have had trouble with it and to those that have rarely bothered with it.

i went out into thee wilderness on tatooine to get some survival xp (must...get...survival4!) and i decide to do some foraging experimentation while out there. at my first camp after doing all my necessary crafting and such i began to forage. i decided to make 10 attempts and keep track of the results:

attempt #1 a success
2 failed to find anything
3 failed to find anything
4 a success
5 a success
6 a success
7 failed to find anything
8 a success
9 there is nothing in this area to forage
10 there is nothing in this area to forage

after receiving the 'there is nothing in this area to forage' i tried the last time (10) just to complete my experiment, but at this time as thought that i had basically 'depleted' the area of forageable goods. after this i broke camp and did a little hunting and walked a few hundred meters away. i again made camp and this time i decided to try 20 attempts and see what the results were:

attempt #1 a success
2 a success
3 failed to find anything
4 a success
5 a success
6 there is nothing in this area to forage

at this point i thought i was finished, but decided to try all 20 times:

7 a success

i was rather surprised and ecstatic that i got a success after being told there was nothing to forage in the area so i continued:

8 a success
9 failed to find anything
10 failed to find anything
11 there is nothing in this area to forage
12 there is nothing in this area to forage
13 there is nothing in this area to forage
14 there is nothing in this area to forage
15 failed to find anything
16 failed to find anything
17 a success
18 a success
19 failed to find anything
20 failed to find anything

it would seem that you can essentially forage ad infinitum in the same spot. at my third camp i tried this again and then i got the dreaded 'some foraged items were discarded because your inventory is full' message, but i tried again and was successful. after that success though i kept getting the previous message iff i was successful until i actually ate one of my foraged items. the next suucess actually put 2 itmes in my inventory then i began to get the discarded message again and so i ate another item and the next success put an item in my bag. i have since read delta's post that the devs stated that this was clearly a bug so i am confident it will get fixed in the near future. i hope this has been helpful. thank you and good hunting.
