Is this before or after you hit Master scout? Killing and harvesting, the only 'good' way to get the Explore IV, Hunting IV and extra scout XP you need for Novice CH. Time vs reward, go places with 'town' creature spawns, like across the bridge south of Theed on Naboo. Noone goes there, but if you wander around you can find big groups of diseased nuna, chubas and spine cappers, just like you see around town, without the competition. 42 scouting exp for a one shot kill isn't bad. Get a fast pistol and setup a /harvest bone (or hide or meat) icon on the toolbar and go to town.. But thats grinding.. I just do destroy missions and kill everything I see between the mission terminal and the lairs. I'm at Novice CH +30k scout exp.....

Yep, the previous poster was correct on the Scout end of things. Just kill kill kill. Only kill animal mobs and always remember to harvest. If you decide you want to add BE, definitley keep ahold of what you harvest!! Since character abilities and classes differ, try to figure out the best risk vs reward. Often killing 20 little buggers in three minutes will net more xp than that one mega mob that took you five minutes to recover from...

I highly recommend working on the scout first, since you won't need to purchase anything to get there. Once you have some good credits from missions, then get novice medic and keep making stimpacks. A's, then B's and finally C's. Not only does this 1/3 of your CH prereq's move up the quickest(if you grind) you can also make good money selling the stimpack's. Remember to buy two of the food & chemical(or whatever they are called) kits and keep them both pumping out the stimpack's. You may be able to sell the other items better, but I had no problem selling the stimpack's and it was easy to memorize the schematic recipes.

Hope that helps some, and good hunting.

I found a great one go to a planet with paralopes and get the destroy missions (the herd is the best) you hit it a few time a whole lot of paralopes come running kill them all and keep going. Usually there will be a single paralope who will try to repair the nest, let him/her and then start again. You also make about 1500 crds per. After 10 of these missions Ihad15000 creds plus almost 8000 experiance and i than could make traps, camps and make more money on the hide and bone. Worked for me. Healed in the camps and surveyed. I am not completely sure on the amount of XP but i worked it by ex. 10 lair X1500 =15000. 15 paralopes X 55xp each X10 missions =8250xp. These can be fast missions too. Make sure you keep you overhead map on stay away from big bad reds. I learned that the hard way.

Thank You

Naboo might be even better. Take Gnort missions. They pay around the 2500 credit area and are 1 shot kills. You'll get 42 Scout XP from their leathery harvest. You usually get 10-12 creatures per lair. Very little risk of being killed.

The easiest way to get Scouting skill these days (since the Maskscent ability was nerfed with a 60 second timer) is to Harvest as many creatures as you can. You get more experience the higher level the creatures are but, as the earlier poster already mentioned, you're almost always better off killing a lot of relatively low critters. After all getting double the experience but spending 3 times as much time to heal up after each fight just isn't cost effective.

Look around your home planet and find creatures that are reasonably easy to kill, won't gang up on youand give good experience when harvested. When I was starting out on CorelliaI liked Paralopes and Durni's as they were very vulnerable to Mind pool attacks and a few Headshots from my CDEF rifle and a Sharp Bone Spur trap would have them dead, often before they'd even figured out where I was firing from. (Caution, I saw a notice that the Sharp Bone Spur's Mind damage is going to be nerfed soon so use this combination while you can).

If you have Level 1 in any weapon skill and inTraps take Destroy missions from terminals in town. These will give you the creatures you want plus money to help pay for training and upgrades for your weapons and armor. Get 2 in the same direction (don't be afraid to hit the Refresh button a few times to get what you want) and head out.

When you get to the lair kill any creatures around it then take one shot and one shot only at the lair (hit your Peace button to stop attacking). This will cause a few more to spawn which you can kill one at a time (if you keep firing at the lair they'll all attack you at once). Repeat this several times until no more creatures spawn then destroy the lair and move on to the next mission.

In any case good luck with the grind.

DX,

The first thing you need to do is to stand up, walk away from the computer, go to the Home Depot, buy a two by four and then go home. Then standing in front of a video camera, knock yourself silly with the thing. Then mail the tape to: "Naboo's Funniest Home Videos, c/o Brisc Rubal, Theed".

Don't be a CH! They're a dime a dozen. Be unique! Don't follow the herd (get it?)!

But, in any event, if your mind is made up, I have to echo the sentiment that kicking little gnorts around is a great way to get Scout XP. Nightspiders and Hermit spiders are also good for getting XP relatively easily.
