Ok, I leave a basic camp on for 20 minutes. get 500-560 camp exp.

multiperson for 21 minutes. 800 camping exp.

multiperson for 35 minutes 300 EXP! HUH???

so can somone please tell me whats a good time to leave a multiperson camp on to get max exp? since 35 mins only gave 300, yet a shorter time gave more, i got very confused.

its not just time, its also amount of healing that occurs, number of visitors...so there are several variables in the XP determination.

Aye, i knew that, but all times i had no wounds to heal, and no extra visitors.

still dont see how 35 mins for a multiperson only gives 300!

It's not JUST wounds to heal, either - it's how much you regen while in the camp. For the 21 minutes, your HAM bars might have started out lower (did you just finish a fight?), or you were doing something that lowered yoru HAM bars and then they regenerated while you sat there (/forage, maybe?). For the 35 miutes, you probably didn't do anything, didn't have anything to regen, so you got less XP.

Guys,

I don't want to go into any specifics here, because I honestly don't have all of them, but I will tell you that if you are doing things in the camp that lower your hams and they regen, you are going to significantly increase your XP over time. So do a little dance, make a little love, get those HAMs down tonight, and you'll be on your way to hitting the caps.

Corr,

Yup. In my not-so-humble opinion, I would suggest that scouts who are working towards Master get novice artisan, medic, marksman (or Brawler), and entertainer.

That way you are as absolutely self-sufficient for as long as possible. You'll need to drop some of those the farther along you get. I just had to drop artisan, sadly, in order to get to my second tier of Ranger (having medic, scout, entertainer, ranger, rifleman and squad leader runs out you SP pretty quickly).

On another note, watch out- I was out hunting with Cyrus last night, so my sarcasm/funk levels are spiking. I'm in a weird mood this morning.

Ok Delta question for you regarding that last post.

Periodically the camp will disband if I:

A) go to far from it, or away from it for a prolonged period of time. Ok, I'm down with this and understand it.

B) get into combat while inside the camp. Above, it wasmentioned having marksman to decrease your HAM while inside the camp, unless I'm reading it wrong.

Was marksman mentioned as part of the "self sufficient" status of the Scout class or was it indeed included in "things you can do while you're camping to increase your camp exp"

Splain, thanks

Liked your comments.

One thing you can also do is in a group, if someone gets incapped in the center of a mob, build a camp on top of the character. If you have an advanced camp, you can protect the incapped player from getting further stomped on. I've noticed that xp gain when there's an incapped player in the camp also seems to increase faster as well.

Jams,

I *always* get the best camping XP after I've gotten my ass beaten by a herd of Jaxes (post nerf, thank you), ate up by a tusk cator stomped by a Fambaa. Camping right after getting incapped is an excellent way of bringing a lot of your hams down, especially if you are using your marksman only specialty shots that use other pools (like mind).

Marksman was mentioned primarily as a means to be self-sufficient, but like I said, using those specialty shots is a good way to bring those HAMs down so you can camp to regain them.

So next time when you're getting beat, and you are dreading the 80 second regen time til you aren't incapped you can think "wow...I'm gonna get some GREAT survival XP after this". It'll make the wait less painful.
