Thread: Something should really be done about the way Scouting Exp is rewarded

I find that generally scouts don't want to group with one another because they don't want to fight over harvests. Add to this the fact that a very large percentage of players have at least some levels in scouting, and you get ppl not wanting to group, and groups fighting over harvesting rights.

Scouting exp should be divided among all scouts in a group, with the option to "opt out" if you don't care to advance any more in scouting.

there is an easier way

LEARN TO SHARE, PEOPLE!

that is not directed at anyone in genral but if you see some one else killed it then let them have it, or if one person is getting a lot more kills then spread the wealth around. There doesnt need to be a change in the game, but in the players

I agree with the sentiment of sharing. It is the easiest way, but there are times when I have played the "one for you one for me" game. Many times I have come across a situation where we take down a bunch of durnis then a bagersat (sp). That sucks if you are always getting the durni and the other scout gets the big ones. It wouldn't be bad idea for group sharing of scouting XP for those situations. Especially in the beginning when a pack of durnis would take down a solo player. For the more experienced they can do it on their own if XP is the problem.

That is a nice theory Kaspars, but unfortunately in this kind of game it tends not to work.

Cayne, et. al.

First, the Devs are working on a multiple-scout-multiple-harvest plan. It should be addressed in our update from the Devs.

Second, for now, Scouts need to share. As a group leader, I ALWAYS set up a scout XP sharing plan when I start a group. If someone isn't following it, they get kicked. It's simply a matter of leadership. That will have to be our stopgap while we wait for the Devs to solve this problem.

I always tended to only group when I wanted weapon/combat exp, and just got scout exp while I ran missions. Who cares if it takes a couple more harvests to get your next skill box?

Well that's good that the devs are working on a way to combat this situation. I've been in a couple groups where that issue has come up and it can tear groups apart. Some people just don't want to share with the rest of the people.

I agree with sharing. It does work. Usually in the groups I play with regularly, the senior Scout decides a rotation and calls out whose harvest it is next. It's a little more work for him but it keeps things orderly. However, even without this, we would be okay because none of us are greedy jerk-offs. If you find this is a common occurrence, I hope you get lucky enough to find some better people to group with. I am on Gorath, so if you ever come there, look me up. Would be glad to hunt with you.
