Thread: MACRO camps you can go through about 7 camps overnight
I'm not the type to exploit, but I don't see anything wrong with overnight macroing, so you're willingness to do this is obviously up to you. Basically I took what I learned about survey macroing and applied it to camps.
Start off with a basic survey macro I found on the artisian forum (exact #s are dependent on your own stats), you can find it here: http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=artisan&message.id=7279
I was reading up and thinking about how to macro camps, and realized you can use the fact that camps automatically disband to your advantage.
First off, what you need to do is make a bunch of camps, and put them on your hotkeybar (mine were all along the 2nd row).
To get right to it, here is my survey macro with camping built right in.
/stand
/sample
/pause 600
/sit
/pause 100
/ui action toolbarSlot12
/pause 10
/ui action toolbarSlot13
/pause 10
/ui action toolbarSlot14
/pause 10
/ui action toolbarSlot15
/pause 10
/ui action toolbarSlot16
/pause 10
/ui action toolbarSlot17
/pause 10
/ui action toolbarSlot18
/pause 10
/ui action toolbarSlot19
/pause 10
/ui action toolbarSlot20
/pause 10
/ui action toolbarSlot06
*The last line is the # where your macro is located so it will loop over itself.
So basically what happens is it goes through the survey macro, and during your rest period, it triggers EVERY camp you have. (the pause 10 are in there just for precaution - I didn't wanna do so many commands at one instant). So first time it goes through, it triggers the camp in slot 12, then tries to trigger 13 and it says "you already have a camp", and it repeats the msg of 13 for every following camp kit that it tries to trigger. Eventually, that camp will automatically disband, and when it does, the next time the macro goes through, it triggers slot 12 (nothing here, does nothing), then slot 13 (camp deployed), then 14 (can't - already have a camp), then 15 (ditto), etc etc. Eventually the camp disbands on it's own, and next time the macro goes through it triggers 12 (nothing here), 13 (nothing here), 14 (camp deployed), 15 (can't), etc, etc.
Using this macro you can go through anywhere from 4-8 camps overnight. It's not entirely efficient since there is no command that I'm aware of to disband a camp so you have to rely on autodisband, but it sure takes a LOT of pain of survival exp off you. I tested this yesterday going to work. 5 hour work day, and I was on my 5th camp when I came back.
I was apprehensive to post this in fear of it getting nerfed, but I should be done with camps in a day or 2 so I figured I might as well help out others who are struggling through camps. This type of macroing of camps is probably considered an exploit, but considering how ridiculous survival exp is at this point, I have no hesitations about taking full advantage of it.
Bumping so people can see it. HUGE weight off of survival exp doing this. I'm like 5k away and I got it all from survival 2 and up just from overnight macroing (and a couple shower camps, dinner camps, pick-up-sister camps, etc)

this macro works great. it got me to survival IV over night
LOL!! That sounded like an add for a weight loss pill. The macro system is there, so make use of it if you like. Very creative usage.
Xy,
Perhaps I'm retarded, but I can't get it to work.
Then again, I was only testing to see if it actually did work, cause I'm trying to not grind the things out. Has anyone else gotten this to work?

I tried setting this thing up cause its a life saver but ran into a problem.
Exactly which hotkey slot does /ui action toolbarslot12 refer to? The first bank of hotkeys (ie the F1s)?
I think this would solve the other problem mentioned in other posts as well.
The top row is slot00-slot11. The bottom row is slot12-23. The macro works. I've seen the first 2 camps go by. I'm not sure what'll happen when I'm AFK for 8 hours though.
Looks like I got auto-logged out. Guess there's no more macroing XP when you're not around anymore. That's good in a lot of ways.

So yeah, macroing is fine. Macroing for unattended game play isn't. Just thought I'd point this out before anyone ran here stunned they got smacked around by SOE for it.
