Well its time to begin organizing the second Tarq Scout Hunt sponsored by the IR PA. This is a monthly outing for all the Novice Scouts out there trying to grind away at the last positions on the skill tree to make it to Master. During these outings we will be hunting BIG game for the Trapping XP as well as the Harvesting XP.
This time we will be hunting Thunes & Bols near the Imperial Outpost on Dantooine. These fearsome beasts range from 8000 - 10000 HP and can kill a man in 2 stomps of its rather large feet. It is going to take many of us to bring these beasts down. It will be much easier to find these guys compared to the snipe hunt for Fambaas last time. 8) Lucky for us, we can get missions on Dantooine to hunt these bad boys. We should be able to make enough credits to cover the trip cost to the planet and back.
Rules for Participation
We will move out once the group reaches 10 people.
You must NOT be a Master Scout. Our goal is to help you gain at least 1 new skill.
Exploits on Dantooine will NOT be used.
3 people will be selected to create camps during the hunt. ONLY these 3 people will create camps. Each camp will hold 5 members of the hunting party. This selection will be based on who is working on that skill. Due to the nature of where we will be hunting, there will be a great need for many camps. If you qualify for a new skill, you will be asked to step down as a camper and let some one else have a shot.
3 people will be selected to harvest creatures. ONLY these 3 people will be allowed to harvest. This selection will be based on who is working on that skill. The creatures we will be taking down dish out somewhere in the range of 600 scout XP. If you qualify for a new skill, you will be asked to step down as a harvester and let some one else have a shot.
People who are camp creators cannot be harvesters.
If you are suspected of harvest sniping, you will be kicked from the group. Note this rule does not say that if you ARE harvest sniping, it says if "I SUSPECT" you of harvest sniping. I hate to be this harsh on the matter but the current game mechanics do not allow for friendly scouting in groups. So we use the "My Eyeball" system.
Everyone is invited to use traps. The 4 harvesters will keep you stocked up on enough Hide, Bone & Meat to build them.
All players who can tank effectively are welcome to join us. We can use the protection. All Medics are welcome to join us. We can use the heals and buffs.
We will be starting up in the afternoon of 8/17/2003 ~3:00 PM PST. Please show up at the IR MEGA STORE on Corellia near Tyrena. You can feel free to browse the shops there and stock up for the hunt! Yes I realize this is a blatant advert for my PA, but hey they are my PA... and I am usually there.

Heh great timing K, you picked a day off for me, you can bet i'll be there! I just hope you can put up with me ;-P
