Saber,

This is a great idea - something else we can do to help out the chefs, perhaps?

I'll add it to the list.

instead of that hokey forrage button make use of the wonderful flora in the environments and turn some of them into plants with special uses and set the target range to say 3 meters

this would have a scout player actually recognise usefull plants from a distance by visual and close to within 3 meters to get a target lock and radial from there the scout harvests the usefull resource

from leaves bark thorns juice roots what ever the more skilled the scout is the more info he gets when examining a particular plant

this could make scouts very valuable to chefs or doctors for special ingredients and get players more conected with the environments

this would also promote scouts to explore

You mean something other than forage or medical forage?

Maybe I don't see the connection or reason, but we are scouts, namds if you will. We hunt and forage to make ourselves self sufficant. I don't want to be a farmer.

Ronge,

A good scout should be able to figure out what plants out there are usable, and which aren't. Which taste great, and which will give you the squirts. It would be an interesting skill, being able to sample from plants, in addition to our foraging.

Not really farming, more "survival" type stuff.

There's nothing really with someone having the scout profession and wanting to act like a "farmer," if that's what they want. I like the idea. Kind of like Morrowind, eh? I've never liked the idea of forage anyway. Do you honestly believe you'd actually get that much variance in foliage if you were scrounging around in the desert?

Be sure to insert the word "wrong" into the appropriate portion of the first sentance. *sigh*

there seems to be a dissconection from the game environment and the players also things to do socially are also a bit low as me and my brother have discovered

but adding some dimentions to the classes will definatly make playing them much more imersive and enguaging

yes I see scouts as a sort of survivalists and think the forage button lacks, I would much rather see scouts spot a particular tree while there out in the field and head right to it to pick an uncommon herb or root that the scout knows is usefull in making a tasty meat dish or in a life saving medicine.

also a form of tracking would seem appropriate if they are familiar with animals they should know what their track look like and be able to interpret them maby similar to a scanner for a type of creature like a dewback

it would let you know if a dew has been nearby
